'24 MO DL Williams Nwaneri (Mizzou commit)

So you’re saying he is developing talent the same today as he was in the early 2000’s? Garner was Midas back then where everything he touched turned to gold. You think recruits today don’t google Garner’s draft picks, compare them to what they were rated coming out of high school, and then could possibly question future development? Sure bud.

When they google the dline coach from the other schools that are recruiting them what do they come up with? The man never has a subpar dline or a subpar recruiting yr. You probably don't realize that a dominant d linemen is like finding a franchise qb in the NFL not many exist. They are almost always drafted on freak physical measures the last I can remember that wasn't was actually our own Barnett and that hasn't worked very well. I'm guessing around 100 or less true hand in dirt linemen have been drafted 1st rd in the last 20 yrs with maybe 15 or 20 actually being worth that draft pick.

Nico is a generational QB.

The DL and OL needs multiple guys. Nico was a complete anomaly, even nationally. It was a way to make a splash, ensure a high level offense for years forward, etc, and it did.

I really hope he is, but until he plays we won't know. Just like DJ Uiagalelei had the highest 5* rating I've seen at 247 with a 101. He also was supposedly a generational talent and so is the QB at Clemson now. I think and hope Nico will be great here but NOBODY knows right now. For all we know Jake could come in and win the job. Again I'm not saying one is better than the other but until a QB makes some starts, takes some hits and wins some games nobody knows what their future is.

Duh. That is true of every recruit. That is recruiting. It is not worth saying at all, unless somehow you find it personally intolerable to let the opportunity pass of sowing doubt doubt about one of our players on the roster and our coaches. The sum total of recruits for all teams for all time with the final outcome known in advance is zero.

You're confusing the coaching staff with the folks at Spyre. They might communicate with each other, but the coaches are not the ones doing any NIL bidding...no matter what you say.
would you or someone give me a mini education on how the NIL works? So people give money to what or who? Then who gives that money out and has control? And how do they determine what amount to give to what recruits? And what roll does businesses have?

Some comments I’ve heard about Garner are that he had 5 1st rounders at Georgia from 2001-2005, then had 2 total first rounders since then. A lot of his draft picks came in as highly rated recruits. There’s concern in some circles that’s the development isn’t as strong as it used to be. To paraphrase: ‘you won’t go undrafted with CRG, but you might not go in the 1st either. Not a risk, but not a huge reward like 20 years ago.’
Marlon Davidson and Carl Lawson not being first rounders isn't his fault. Davidson has struggled with lower body injuries throughout his career and he still got drafted second round. He was still very undersized as a prospect and Garner got him up to 2nd round.

Carl lawson tore his ACL in college and has been criminally underrated in the NFL. If he goes 3 seasons without an ACL tear, he's one of the best dlinemen in the league.

A more pertinent question would be which DL coaches do these “circles” consider to be better developers than CRG? Curious to see the list.

It's funny when ppl act like they're privy to some "inside coaching circle whisper" and you call them on it, instead of backing it up they say it's just common sense that is what is being said lol.

I bet they are too.
So you think the coaches are actually offering NIL money to recruits? There's a difference between telling Spyre which recruits are a high priority (worthy of a larger NIL investment) and actually talking dollar amounts directly to a recruit. Again, Spyre is the one doing the bidding...not the coaches.

I think it is coach driven while the legality part is handled by Spyre….

Spyre and coaches are in regular communication

People give to Spyre/Vol Club. Spyre coordinates with kids based on a combination of marketing opportunity and player value to program. Marketing opportunity is based on business interest. Player value to program is based on a combination of factors that should be intuitive. Cheering for or against Spyre is cheering for or against our program’s success as it relates to recruiting and player retention in the current world of ncaa and nil
