'24 MO DL Williams Nwaneri (Mizzou commit)

He sucked!
The Real Rusty

Sure, but he's not wearing a dorky "Rusty" beret.

I’m going to say OU or UT
I'm gonna go with OU on this one. Now that they're in the SEC, he'll get to face the best competition just like he would have at UT. To my mind, distance will be the thing that wins out. Much easier for the family to get to his games in Norman.

Is it? Norman is tough to get to. If you’re flying, you have to fly to OKC or Dallas then drive. And both are expensive to fly into. If they’re driving, yes, it’s closer, but Knoxville is much easier to get to by plane.

Norman is 20 miles from Oklahoma City 😂😂and Oklahoma City is cheaper to fly into than Knoxville 😂😂I def want him to come to Knoxville but these points are bad

Spent several years in the Norman area so I know it's not the easiest, but as a parent who flew every weekend to watch a kid play, it does get tiring and very, very expensive. Combine that with the absolute insanity being seen on some of these flights today and I'd want no part of flying the unfriendly skies. It's about a 3 1/2 hour flight to Knoxville vs a 5 1/2 hour drive to norman according to google maps. Personally, I'll take the drive and make a weekend of things. Guess I'm looking at it as a parent who'd want to watch my kid play. Of course, the kid could shock the world and choose to stay home, but I think the OU brand and proximity PLUS being in the SEC will tip the scales to the sooners on this one.

Depends on how much they’re willing to spend

A more pertinent question would be which DL coaches do these “circles” consider to be better developers than CRG? Curious to see the list.
I missed this earlier, so, sorry for the late reply. Depending on who you talk to, bama, Ohio State, uga, and Venables/Clemson lead the way. Michigan is close behind those. Washington gets some comments. Somehow florida still gets mentioned by some (although Brenton Cox should be a cautionary tale for any kid considering the gators). Surprisingly Houston gets brought up more than I would think. There’s still talk of Garner and UT, and a lot of respect for Garner, the talk is just not as high as how it is discussed on this board.

I get that but those coaches/schools have had a ton more talent to work with than Garner has had here early on. During his time at Auburn, they frequently mentioned auburn having one of and at times the best d-line in the SEC. I think these next couple years, we’ll see Garner being able to work with more 4/5-star talent like those others get every year.

Imagine if Garner had guys like Derek Barnett, Shy Tuttle, when he first got here.

I love Garner (and I definitely don’t believe message board narratives) but for the sake of this specific argument, he mentioned the past 15 years or so and the lack of first round picks. Auburn has had tons of 4 and 5 stars in that time (Cower, Lawson etc) and I personally believe there were a ton of factors that led to those guys not panning out. Regardless, that was the point.

Derek Brown is a perfect example of a 5 star committing, working hard and accepting coaching, and going top 10 in the draft. Idk what these people want.

Nwaneri will be us Missouri or Oklahoma
Chris Cole - I’d take us over Georgia right now
Danny Okoye - I’d take us
Ryan Wingo - I’d take us right now
Kam Franklin - I’d take the field (probably Auburn)
Auburn has done some crazy stuff on NIL lately. They run the risk of being TX A&M 2.0. Freeze has never had the money backing him like he does at Auburn. They are going to attempt and buy a National Championship like they did with Cam. Should be interesting to watch and see how fast this cash dries up

That guy has no clue. Notice how the only coach he names is a guy that's not even at that school and coaches linebackers lol.

So you’re saying he’s at worst one of the best 7ish developers of d-linemen in the entire country
