'24 MO DL Williams Nwaneri (Mizzou commit)

¯\_( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)_/¯ I wondered the same thought he might be a new target!!!!

Dude is Williams second cousin. We're offering Dude a preferred walkon spot to try to convince Williams to commit without offering the big bag.

Defensive lineman Williams Nwaneri will announce his decision on August 14th. There are lots of different scenarios out there if you ask around. You might get three or four different answers. What we know is Tennessee has continued to have steady dialogue with him this week. He is on a family vacation as football starts later for him. As we said last week, Tennessee is still battling and in the thick of it. We will continue to make calls the next couple of weeks as it draws near.

And ended up with jack sh*t. Wonder what excuse the leg humpers will come up with. I can already see the “we didn’t want him” comments
Probably the "We didn't get him because we don't offer NIL up front" lie they for some reason keep perpetuating.

Missouri can pay that asshat $6 per bc no one else wants that **** job.
yeah. Pinkel with Odom had success there because they developed guys over the long term, not many freshman or sophomores playing on those squads back in the day. Kinda the Iowa approach of just coaching guys up and developing them over time. Drink definitely doesn't take that approach, not many do.

Their success was really due in part to good coaching, snd landing a once in a generation QB. Which helped land those insane WR's, that never did a ****ing thing.

Dude was a defensive coach, with Huep on staff.

So on Nwaneri, the way our coaches have gone about his recruitment has been incredible. Love how we aren't scared to be honest with a player on how we see him and how we know we can use him to his best potential even if it isn't the easiest path to landing his commitment at the exact moment.

The way our staff recruits combined with our very strong and sensible NIL approach with incoming players is the reason you see this teams culture be outstanding compared to some other programs out there and our retention rate of players we want to stay be so high.

I think personally Oklahoma is the biggest threat in this one due to I think he has true strong relationships there just like with us and that in the end Missouri is just a money play only to get whoever between those two up to the best number possible.

Will be a wild final 10 days in this thread!!!

GBO!

So I would guess you support the theory laid out by @chandler bing earlier this week. I say theory, but they spoke on it as if it were fact. I'm in no position to dispute his/her version of events and don't doubt it. But those comments, your above comments along with those of @KingNico seem to align.

seems like a reasonable theory. and definitely shows that people shouldn't freak out as things shift around in any recruitment.
