'24 MO WR Ryan Wingo (Texas commit)

Yeahhh

Hendon could have played a lot better and we had so many procedural penalties and that totally screwed up what we were doing on offense

Totally different ball game if it wasn't @UGA in the rain against a very motivated crowd because we just had become number one.
And they don’t kick a 75 yard punt that goes out at the 1 and…….etc. they had everything going for them that night.

Squirrel will be better than Hyatt.

How quickly we forget 5 touchdowns against a Nick Saban Alabama team.

Hyatt is our only Biletnikoff winner, and owns or is second in almost every team single season receiving record, and a likely first round draft selection.... and you're ready to declare Squirrel as being better?

I mean, I don't see it. Not rooting against it. In fact I'm hoping its true. But I think it's taking lightly what Hyatt turned himself into.

Without a miracle we weren’t beating Georgia. Rain no rain. Road or at home.
First Georgia was the best team in the country, just want to get that out of the way. Second Tennessee much like Ohio State was the worst possible matchup for Georgia. Unfortunately our Oline played like dog crap; Hooker took accountability but he was severely limited by our Oline getting manhandled. Wasn’t able to have a clean pocket or step into throws most of that game. DBs did a good job for Georgia as well but the game was lost in the trenches.

Hyatt also did that in one season. I think that’s where the squirrel hype is coming from. Hopefully he has a better sophomore campaign then Hyatt did.

Hyatt didn’t have the benefit of an established offensive system year one. He had to toil in that hodgepodge thing Chaney and Pruitt threw out. But their first seasons in this system were markedly different. No one discredits Jalin for the work he put in to achieve a basic 180 in productivity. But it’s a discredit to not acknowledge that Squirrel was more prepared immediately and way more productive in less touches. He expands on this sample size and that epic performance from Hyatt will be the floor. Before this is characterized as fan reactionary, consider your reaction before last season if someone had suggested that a Vols receiver would win the Belitnikoff…and his last name wouldn’t be Tillman. 🤔

I promise you Ala isn'tsinking or going anywhere. They will be elite most yrs he's at Ala. I hate it ut it's the facts.
Predicting what Bama will look like 4-5 years from now is not in any way factual. I would venture to say it's more likely than not. Definitely not a fact.

Yeah, because Heupel's offense had nothing to do with it at all.

I love me some Hyatt, but it's funny how quickly we forget that he was decent year 1, but barely starting year 2, before exploding year 3. Yes, he's talented, but much of his success is attributed to improved practice habits (as driven by coaching) and an offensive system design to put him in mismatches. I have no doubt that other players can perform at a similar level if they have the same commitment, and I'm sure there will be some who will, because that's what the staff recruits and expects.

Squirrel is several times better than Jalin was as a freshman, has the same speed, better hands and is way more elusive with the ball in his hands.

We've seen him get loose in this system just like Hyatt did several times. He can do what Hyatt did and then some.

He will get schemed WIDE open several times in the future just like Hyatt was for about half of his touchdowns this year.

Question is can Milton routinely deliver the ball to him accurately.

He had 28 attempts. Did you happen to ever understand sample sizes?
I didn’t realize we did peer-reviewed research on Volnation. The plain fact is that we’ve already witnessed Milton deliver the ball accurately to Squirrel specifically on several occasions. The question remaining is can he continue to do so and be consistent over a season as the starter.

Georgia grabbed them and shook 'em. The line didn't "play bad". They were whipped like they were NOT against Alabama. The rushing attack against the Tide worked so the pass was open behind it. We didn't run it on Georgia, so we could not throw it. Thus, we did not win against Georgia.

Ohio State has comparable talent to UGA, and played a close game that they easily could have won against them. We are not comparable in talent yet. We could not have won that game, because we could not move the ball, or score. In theory, our offense may be a "bad matchup" for Georgia. On the field, not yet. Not based on the results. 0-2 so far, and never in danger of winning.

As far as freshman seasons? One played with a Heisman candidate QB and a wide open offense. The other played with JG. Hmmm.....
Squirrel White played in 13 games. Jalin Hyatt played only 10 due to it being the covid year.

Still, White only had 10 more receptions with the same number of touchdowns.

In no way am I doubting White will be a star for us. I love the player and I think his ceiling is very, very high. I'm just saying its ridiculous to declare Squirrel will be better when Jalin arguably just had the best season in Tennessee history, for a wide receiver. Statistically and impactfully.
