'24 MO WR Ryan Wingo (Texas commit)

Dude doesn’t commit until Dec

Yeah. This is just a reaction to the MO law allowing high schoolers to profit off their NIL in high school. They are only gaining about 4-5 months of possible revenue though, so I really don't see the significant financial gain from going to a school like Mizzou vs a school with a more robust NIL collective.

Yes. Missouri is restricting interstate commerce.
no they aren't.
Missouri can't pass a law that expands, or limits, the dates in other states. Missouri literally could not pass a law that gave Missouri high schoolers the ability to get NIL deals Sept 1 in other states. thats purely on that host state.
just like they can't make NIL open to any student that signs paper work with a Missouri school, its only for local kids.
They are staying 100% within their own border.
Missouri's law doesn't restrict a Missouri kid going elsewhere, and doesn't impact non-Missouri kids at all.
All of these laws are pure host state based. One state can not effect another state at all, and this law doesn't even try.

LOL. This is typical whenever you get cornered by the facts and look stupid.

If you manage your own finances the way you suggest NIL should be handled... then you aren't going to do well. Note the "if" that opened that sentence.

If you DON'T manage your own finances that way... then you're just being too proud to admit you're wrong.

Talent is "vital". Talent... period. You continue under the delusion that these guys have absolutely unique and exclusive talent... that there aren't more of them.... that they cannot be replaced. That's just dumb. Sorry but it is.

When you are managing a roster then you are going to get MORE talent and depth if you don't do stupid stuff like overpaying a few individuals.

As for my ability to build teams without overpaying and manage finances... your take there is even more ignorant than your demand that they overpay for these UNPROVEN prospective recruits.

Lol. They are only facts in your head dude. You keep on looking like a fool when it comes to recruiting, the services and whether or not stars matter. But you won’t change. It’s laughable actually. I enjoy watching you make a fool of yourself.

I wasn’t referring to Missouri.

The Federal government has shown time and again they will step in anywhere they want, anytime they want, under the guise of regulating interstate commerce.

They don’t always. But they can, and do.

How much economic activity does CFB generate lol? Does it cross state lines?

No. They’re objective facts. Your ego won’t allow you to consider them because you are so vested in a false opinion.

You assign a level of accuracy to them that simply does not align with the facts. Even if I am wrong or not 100% right. You are still wrong.

Your “strongest” evidence is that NCs are typically won by those who have highly rated players. You assign a cause effect relationship between agreeing with the recruiting sites and winning. But that notion is blown up by how poorly the sites predict other teams.

It doesn’t take a talent evaluation expert to take cues from who a few elite coaches prioritize.

I could be wrong about the relationship between winning and recruiting ratings. I could be right or partly right. But the facts prove your argument wrong

Mentions Michigan over us 😂😂

Such shoddy reporting.

'How you feelin today?'

'Well, I like Michigan today. So ill probably throw them in there.'

'Did the kid mention Tennessee is his leader?'

'Noo, I feel like Mich-gin today.'

'Arent you worried about making up dumb ****.'

'No, Michgan throw football. I talk about them.'

Missouri NIL Law really won't affect Wingo. He is an early enrollee and isn't deciding until later this fall. Nwaneri is a different situation since he committed yesterday and won't enroll until next summer. He has almost a year for his NIL before he steps on campus.

I disagree and think a good lawyer could certainly make an argument that this effects interstate commerce. It is not nearly as simplistic as you make it sound.

I can't find the actual text to the new amendment, but the original law, and revision in 2022, don't limit any high schoolers ability to engage in NIL deals. It only defines how NIL works in its own state. anybody wishing to engage in NIL deals in another state would be subject to that state's laws.

Don’t they have to sign first?

Why not collect 4 to 5 months of free money and then switch commitments at the last minute? We all knew that one girl in High School who would wait and break up with her boyfriend immediately after Christmas or Valentines Day and keep the gifts. If Missouri wants to light a pile of money on fire, let em

It’s probably bc of the contract…. He has to fulfill his obligations or give the money back.

You can sign a financial aid agreement with Missouri and then enroll at another university. The financial aid agreement is not binding.
I'm sure there is a loophole to make the NIL contingent on being at Missouri, though they are not supposed to.
The law allows them to stipulate attendance at the university for payment.
