Smart shut down the system because he has a damn near NFL defense at his disposal. Multiple Players like Wingo added to Heupel’s system would be a Neutralizer to that for Heupel. Kirby can scheme but when facing elite Offensive talent his vaunted defense is mediocre. It’s been proven over and over

True but LSU and Ohio St have made a ton of plays against them. Biggest difference is they weren’t playing at home nor allowed to do a lot of the defensive holding they got away with when they played us. I would’ve loved a healthier version of us to get another crack at them on neutral field.

There’s a list in the coaches office. Of their top players for each position that fits their scheme. He’s on top of our board because he is a great WR. You talk to kids and see their interest. He likes us and we like him, plus he’s a top WR. These are the type of guys you have to have to beat GA
