Momentum. UF had it, UT is bleeding it

No doubt but that's a snapshot in time. The point is, UF is ascending and UT seems at best stalled. Do you not agree ?

It's impossible to know what the teams will look like in a year but right now you'd have to think UF next year will be the better team.
My gut just tells me that getting dog walked in Columbus will be a high water mark for UT

DJ Lagway sucks

12 TDs 9 INTs

Sun Belt Billy's 19-19 overall record has gotten the Lizards down so bad that they're hyping up a trash can QB like DJ U2

Lagway is going to still see some growing pains. He didn't light the world on fire with his numbers but he's got something special going by the eye test. Can Napier and staff bring it out of him is the real question.

Napier isn't hiring an OC.

He will be fired before the end of the 2025 season...IF Flada still cares about football...which they don't.

The Gators will play a stretch where they play

9/13 @ LSU (weird timing)
9/20 @ Miami
10/4 vs Texas
10/11 vs aTm and end w/ Miss State at home

Then
11/1 UGA
11/8 @ UK
11/15 @ Ole Miss
11/22 vs Tennessee
11/29 vs FSU

If they make the CFP they’re a top 3 team in the country . Obviously this is still December of 24, but that’s still difficult. I love the fact that we’re game 4 of that 5 game stretch in November .
Brutal schedule.

0-12

Last season, and barely. See above.

I'm talking about moving forward. We have quite the tailwind behind us, whereas UT is arguably capped out.

Florida state thought they were moving forward and in the hunt for a playoff berth and then 2-10.

If you’re saying Napier sucks and is completely unproven, you’d be right.

But saying Lagway sucks shows you watched very little of him play.

He was 6-0 as a starter and made a handful of wow plays every game. Did he have some bad picks, sure. But generally, he looked phenomenal and played on one leg, and was unable to showcase his running ability which will open up even more in the passing game for him.

People underestimate the severity of that hamstring injury. He literally could not run for the last several games and couldn’t fully plant/throw a lot of times.

When he was fully healthy it was ridiculous.

He makes poor decisions and terrible mechanics

He makes poor decisions and terrible mechanics

He made a few bad decisions while playing on one leg as a true freshman in the SEC against arguably the most difficult schedule in the country, while going undefeated and leading a team that was supposed to win 4 games, to 8 wins. He also led the COUNTRY in deep ball passing grade - 97.3, while also being named a Freshman All-American. They usually don’t give that to guys who suck.

If you wanna take shots and diminish Florida, there’s plenty of material there. Napier’s in-game decision making, play-calling, offensive scheme in general, inconsistency on defense, etc. But DJ Lagway is the best thing the program has going for it.

That is true

Which really shows how bad of a dumpster fire Florida is.

Once he's gone Florida will be officially a dead program

Perhaps, but they’ve got a pretty good QB already committed for 2025.

And Florida’s always a coach away. Good coaches - Mullen and McElwain play for SEC titles. Great coaches - Spurrier and Meyer, win National titles.

The truth is it's a very small, if ever, group of coaches that have had 2 of their first 3 seasons be losing ones and gone on to greatness. Napier is done, it's just a matter of when, not if.
