Ole Miss is NOT a terrible team. They have all-world talent and mediocre coaching. They were picked to finish #4 in the country this year and some picked them to win the SEC.

Today the talent overcame their coaching. Give HDN a year or two, he'll have them right back to bad.

I think of the spread as spreading out the offense -- hence the name -- and running the ball or finding a match up that you like in the throwing game. The wildcat is the old single wing. You have one or two WR's and your main intent is for you best runner to take the snap and then make a decision or two. Throwing the ball from this is like throwing the ball out of the option back in the 80's(see Miami Dolphins).

I agree, but we should have been able to keep it respectable. It looked like we were lethargic and just gave up. That's not what I expected to see from a Monte Kiffin led defense.

We took a tough smack today. It sucks....get over it. I certainly hope the team and coaching staff does, but if they have the character of some folks in this forum, they won't.

Not making excuses but the linebacker corp is depleted and the play was mediocre today and well we all now know our star freshman Safety was jailed and not in action. Major distractions from the weeks thuggery couldn't of helped. Then our star senior safety didn't play well today along with Evans. The results are a bad loss.

I know complaining about the officiating is for losers but the refs really handed the game to OM early.... Not a single holding call when they were plentiful and obvious.... Hands in the face on a fair catch? No problemo..... By the time the zebras started calling a more or less fair game it was already decided.....

I said before the season ever started that Monte did not have the LBs or corners to run his scheme. Corners He values in his system are tackling machines ala Brian Kelly and Ronde Barber. Brooks and Quarles at LB were not big hitters but hardly ever were out of position or missed a tackle. Plus Eric Berry had a crap game today. You guys can shoot me if you want but it's the truth.

I'm sorry but the refs didn't have anything to do with our CRAP tackling today. That's all on the players.

When your lead tackler is being held long enough for a fast back like McCluster to get around the corner it sure makes it a lot harder..... Yeah, tackling sucked out LOUD today but after so many no-calls if you are a defensive player it has to get discouraging. This loss isn't totally on the refs by any stretch but they definitely helped OM get going early.

Once UT has better players and more talent on their defense in a few years, we will be able to stop the spread. Right now UT has a defense with no depth, and fast guys are going to be able to wear them out.

I guess you could do better with the group of guys he was left with. Keep ur month shut until this staff have there players in place then judge.
