All you people wishing Tee well for toying with UT don't realize the negative press/field day the sports media/espn is gonna have with this-- once again making UT look bad. Your crazy if you don't think recruits will look at this and wonder why one of our wonder boys diss us for the coach that screwd us. I'm just sayn be ready for it!!

Either way we play this the press will have a field day

1 "UT Fans crucify one of their own for not coming to Tennessee"
2 UT fans are left at the altar by one of their own and they wish him well
3) UT Fans have no faith in their program as evidenced by the rejection from a Star Player
4) UT Always the bridesmaid and never the bride
Fans say it is a good thing
5) UT Fans say YOU are not welcome a Tennessee Ever again due to the turn down of the offer to TM
6) UT Fans do not know how to respond to their offer being turned down....again

So PLEASE tell me how to spin this that doesn't make us look like the team that has been turned down by Numerous People this year and hires a sub par coach 3 years ago

Edit: That was uncalled for.

But still, the media aren't even going to pick up on this.

If ESPN covered every assistant coaching move nationwide, they would need to establish ESPN 4, 5, & 6.

Nothing to see here. Won't even be a blip on their radar.

No one outside of the USC or UT fanbase even knew or will know that he interviewed. No one outside of us cares. It's a position coach. This is not national sports news. No one cares.

Don't make the mistake of thinking the rest of the world cares so deeply about the things you do. In most cases, that's a good thing.

ESPN probably thinks, like 90% of the country, that Peyton Manning was QB when we won our title. No body cares but Vol fans...and to be even broader than that...no body cares outside of East Tennessee...trust me, NO ONE is talking about it where I live. He is a positions coach! Give me a break!

Bro get a freaking life. You're the kind of fan that gives UT fans a bad name. You were probably one of the idiots that were bashing Tee and telling him he was not welcome in the state of TN ever again. I have nothing against Tee but everyone acts like he is God's gift to coaching. Now get over all this drama because CBJ will hire a WR coach that has alot more experience than Tee.

I agree it is bad press. He has a street named after him. Kiffin is probably laughing but he won't be after next year. Kiffin will be fired after next football season mark it down. The usc ad and boosters are not happy with kiffin at all. He better win 10 games are he is finished at usc.

UT fans are the ones that keep building this stuff up just to have the carpet pulled from under you. Why not keep your own counsel instead of blasting your desires all over the ether for everyone to gafaw at?

I don't think he "toyed" with UT....I think it was a good hearted meeting on both ends, to see what the possability might be! I think Coach Jones wanted to reach out to some UT grads for some assistance....We dont know what happen.....They might not have agreed on anything from a football standpoint? Money could have been off? Different opinions about recruiting? Who knows.....I think it shed's no light, and will have NO impact on this University.

The whole world is not out to dick Tennessee.....We need to put our Ego's on the shelf.....In the overall scheme of things, Tennessee football is not all that important!! We had our spotlight last week.

This is bad news, but it's under the radar of the national press. Our reputation takes a hit among the true junkies of college football, but that's about it.

It's a position coaching vacancy. The only reporting of this will come from the KNS and maybe a few sites and blogs on the interweb.

It's not worth hitting the panic button over.
