More Bad Press

This happens all over the country. Some of you are way too sensitive to any kind of negatively concerning our program. It's not always going to be rosey at ANY program. We had our share of ups and downs especially in the media in our hay day. I recall countless media reports stating that Fulmer was a soft disciplinarian, arrest problems, etc etc. all the while we were having 10 plus wins every year. Just relax.....it's going to be ok!

Tee has every right to work where ever he chooses for whatever reason he chooses. Saying the fans shouldn't accept his decision with good grace because ESPN will taunt/criticise/bash Tennessee is absurd. Right now I have less faith in the Tennessee fan base than I do in Hart and Cheek.

All you people wishing Tee well for toying with UT don't realize the negative press/field day the sports media/espn is gonna have with this-- once again making UT look bad. Your crazy if you don't think recruits will look at this and wonder why one of our wonder boys diss us for the coach that screwd us. I'm just sayn be ready for it!!

News today forgotten tomorrow. It's not a negative press field day. It's a position coach electing to stay in his current job. Nothing more nothing less.

Seriously, its like an old coach I had once told us,"You gotta keep ya head up...ya body follows ya head!". Lets keep our heads up and take pride in our football team, guys. We expect that from the players, right? I suppose I will wear my T's with pride wheather or not ESPN cares or not! GBO!

Maybe some folks can learn a lesson from this. Just because somebody is a former Vol does not mean they are pre-ordained to eventually coach here or will be worth a damn if they do. Drop the VFL crap and start making hires based on the best candidate not how orange their blood supposedly is. Using that logic, we should be hiring traffic cones. Also, stop for bridges EVERY time something doesn't go exactly as planned.

As usual, you are always looking for something to whine about. :cray:

Everything in life is what you say it is or make of it. To most Vol fans everything is a disaster of epic proportions.

Goes back to the saying...I'd much rather have someone who wants to come here than has a so-so attitude or rather stay where they are.

As they say...when one shuts the door of opportunity; it opens for someone else

Love for Tee to return, but if he has a better situation at USC that benefits him and his family then best of luck there. CBJ has a back up plan. We move on. It's been enough embarassing moments with the last 3 years of mediocre football. I'm ready for some changes in a positive way. Tee not coming is not going to rain on the parade. Pop a umbrella and keep moving folks.

At this point, does more bad press over T Martin really seem possible? Get a Grip Man....even if the press runs with it....just laugh along with them.....that's the way to handle this UT mess.....after all this coaching search has indeed been comical....you can't deny that

We will be fine. With all the press, Jones had to offer Tee, and it was good to see him treat Tee with so much respect. I think Coach will find a quality receivers coach.

-I'm embarrassed
-ESPN is gonna laugh
blah, blah. If not one thing, its another. That's a big reason why this country has struggles. Too many emotionally weak wusses around.

You would think that UT would have prepared in the case of a turn down by Tee. A hand crafted response and had Tee play along. "We had limited contact with Tee he was in town visiting family and stopped by to visit with the new coach". Or Tee's agent could tell us we are in fantasy land.
