More Climate BS...

Conservatism by its very nature is static while the other side is progressive and moving.
You are so naive to politics it is astounding. what a dumb take.
just because you are static doesn't mean you can't be divisive. that can in fact be the very thing that causes division when you refuse to budge.

"It is yet another admission of failure by California Democrats in their embarrassing effort to turn the state into a wind- and solar-powered liberal paradise despite the technology being nowhere near making that possible. Diablo Canyon alone provides roughly 9% of the state’s electricity, leading even Gov. Gavin Newsom (D-CA) to reverse his previous opposition to the plant and advocate its extension.

It isn’t just nuclear energy that is getting reevaluated either. Newsom went from campaigning to shut down the Aliso Canyon gas storage facility to pushing for it to be expanded. Natural gas comprised about 47% of the state’s energy in 2022, compared to just over 26% for wind and solar combined. This now marks four years of California turning to natural gas to avoid blackouts, with Newsom now taking a more proactive approach to avoid additional headlines about, for example, firing up temporary gas-field generators to keep the grid running."

Two things come to mind; one being "If it ain't broke, don't fix it" The left consistently redefines stuff to say it's broken and they have the answers. Their agenda is by definition less moderate and far more revolutionary (and not in the sense of real progress).

The other is that in any competitive field, the competitors have to show they are different (and supposedly better) than the other guy, so there will always be a divergence - or else no reason to vote for one over the other. The conservative party will always be at a disadvantage with younger age groups because kids think they know better than elders, and conservatives are more closely identified with their elders. Kids also immediately jump to newer or different is better. Trump tried to shake up the image - Romney and McCain lived it and died.

too bad for both of our parties its "If its broke, just ignore it and blame the other guys". plenty needs fixing in this country. Refusing to make minor adjustments makes the later problem far worse than if we corrected for it over time. Look at inflation, economists were telling both Obama and Trump to make some small adjustments to the lending rates to head off inflation. both of them kept it low, and created the mess we are in now. The conservative answer of "if it aint broke don't fix it" just ignores the coming problem, while the liberal response of jumping onto the next DEI trigger word similarly ignores the problem.

The conservatives only play as the adults but they are really no different from the liberals. they do the exact same thing, probably just more of redefining something to say it isn't broken.

we need to dump the way both parties work and get some people in there who actually work to correct the things that are real issues instead of sitting their and pointing fingers at each other.

How about we not let the government - non elected people at that - play economic gods with interest rates, and instead focus on the elected people dumping gasoline (stimulus of one kind or another) on the fire?

WHO could have ever foreseen this???

Who saw this coming?

EVERYONE. Literally everyone with even a basic understanding of supply and demand...or electricity and the grid....or the decades long approval process to bring a new plant online....or the leftist political machine lining their pockets....or Bidens plans to close down about 30 coal fired power plants....or the garbage government plans to FORCE manufacturers and drivers to go electric while NOT building any power plants to charge all those batteries...

The list goes on endlessly. Anyone with half a damn brain knew that our leftist federal government has been INTENTIONALLY DRIVING THIS COUNTRY INTO A MANUFACTURED ENERGY CRISIS for at least a decade.

This is not accidental....this ARTIFICIAL SCARCITY derived directly from government policy. The Climate Change Hoax has been used to destroy the future of our countries energy supply and transportation needs and NOBODY ever mentions it in the MSM. Never. Ever. Its not a secret when anyone with a brain saw this BS coming years ago. We have been bitching about it in this thread for a decade. Why dont we ever hear politicians mention it??? Why have the Repubs not been beating their drums about this in EVERY ELECTION along the way? Because half of them are complicit. We live in the no1 country Earth has known in this iteration of humanity....there is NO excuse for this BS. Especially with California having rolling brown outs and blackouts NOW as an example to the rest of this country of what to NOT do!!

What a damn joke. If we start having power issues nationwide because of this climate change garbage we need to have a Convention or Revolution and throw our ENTIRE federal government out on their azzes. Period. Banned from holding office . How is this different from the people of Venezuela starving while sitting on more oil than Saudi arabia??? It isnt. Socialists causing both conditions too. Time to clean house.

Journalism for Sale: The Associated Press Tried to Hide Its Largest Climate Change Donor

There are plenty of reasons to criticize the mainstream, legacy media outlets that have an obvious leftward bent to them, but one of the most troubling revelations in recent months is the discovery that several leftwing groups - particularly those focusing on climate change - have been making large "donations" to outlets like the Associated Press.

The AP maintains that these donors don't have influence over their editorial process, but that hasn't been enough to keep folks from worrying that the coverage of climate and climate issues is being swayed.

One year ago, Fox News revealed that the AP and others had taken millions from these leftwing organizations.

In a new report, though, the AP has apparently been trying to minimize the visibility of some of its donors, including a $300,000 donation from a leftwing European group whose goals include phasing out fossil fuels entirely. The Washington Free Beacon recently broke this aspect of the story.

John Kerry’s Office Costs Taxpayers More Than $4 Million Annually In Salaries, But Still Won’t Disclose Staff Names

Special Presidential Envoy for Climate John Kerry specified the salaries of his staffers, but refused to disclose their names in response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request by the Boston Herald.

Kerry’s office disclosed that it costs American taxpayers at least $4.3 million each year, but it redacted the names of every person who works on his staff and the official titles of several employees, according to the Herald. Some of Kerry’s aides take home salaries of up to $186,000.

Kerry and his office have come under fire for a perceived lack of transparency in the past, and he has previously refused to answer questions about the personnel he has working for him, including in front of Congress. House Oversight and Accountability Committee Chairman James Comer is also probing potential collusion between Kerry’s office and hardline environmental groups, specifically pertaining to a coalition of environmentalist groups known as the Powering Past Coal Alliance.
