I actually agree with this. No one thought Alabama was a top 5 job without question when Shula was the coach.

As the article said the only difference between Tennessee and Alabama is recent coaching history.

You can't build a national title winning roster on Ohio kids. You simply can't. Winning the big 10 with Ohio kids means nothing cause the big 10 is weak.

The only states you can build a national title winning roster is Florida, California, Georgia, Texas, and Louisiana in that order.

Alabama and Ohio have just as much talent as Louisiana.

I lived in Louisiana and while they have a lot of talent there, a couple of problems still exist:
1) a high number of great athletes there cant do the academic work to qualify
2) population base still not large enough to supply enough players each year. LSU still has to go outside into Texas, Florida and Mississippi to secure players. Heck, they are now in Tennessee.

The state of Ohio is full of recruits. Michigan and Notre Dame recruit a bunch of Ohio kids.
