Tatum's game has really picked up since he has quit trying to force things. His D is solid, he rebounds well, and he does a great job of helping relieve pressure when teams press. He is a good role player as long as he remembers he is a role player.
Agree with the guy above me. Tatum is an above average rebounder and defender for us. Just needs to get his shot back and he could be a huge threat these last few games.
I guess 9 boards 6 assists and a couple steals isn't good enough. Not to mention the senior leadership he brings to a young team.
He clearly has bought in to what CM has been selling. He is going to be missed much more than most people realize. JR is no where close to being able to fill his shoes next year IMO.

I, for one, am keeping my fingers crossed that the juco kid coming in next year can fill Tatum's roll.
You and BTO seem to share that belief. I know very little about the kid but don't recall much excitement surrounding his recruitment. What kind of year is he having and what leads you 2 guys to feel he can fill CT role?

Supreme homerism and a glass half full mentality. seriously though, I have no insight other than he will be an upperclassman and UT needs someone to do it and I don't see anyone else to fill it. So I am keeping my fingers crossed.

Here's his numbers, and you have to remember he's playing JUCO not HS, so obviously the competition is much better.
30mpg...13.6ppg 7.5rbpg 1.4apg 2.3topg 1stl 44%fg 35%3pt 75%ft
So he's gonna be a guy who can play good minutes, can hit the open shots, and can rebound and defend well IMO. The turnovers are troubling, but that could e a result of teammates as much as himself so hard to tell.
Not bad numbers.

No not at all. As I said for a JUCO guy, those are pretty a curate numbers, it's not like playing a HS schedule.
I don't think it's unfair to expect Edwards to come in and average about 9ppg 5rpg. That's a little better than cam, and I'd expect the outside shot to be better as well. All in all I expect an improvement at the 3.
Here is my question though. Can McRae move back to the 2 and be as effective? Big thing is his defense, can he guard the 2 well enough to play there and allow Edwards to play the 3?
I have no idea on Mcrae but CM's value cannot be looked at in terms of stats IMO. He does so many things that don't show up on the stat sheet. Most of his criticism is poor shooting and shot selection. I don't think his shot selection has been a fault since the pre-conference schedule.
