The bias is almost always most prevalent and meaningful in what they choose to cover.

O'Reilly is not a news show. It is a commentary. He does not claim to be a news reporter. He openly admits that his pov is his bias.

FWIW, I don't even like the guy. The only times his show interests me is when they have Miller or Dick Morris.

Assinine to get rid of govt, the purpose of a central govt is to bring massive resources into play under one control. The power was then to be given back to the states. We simply never got it back after the civil war.

LEO is full of wasteful spending. They could cut the force by 75%, lose the war on drugs and no one would bat an eye.

You should send Obama a damn thank you note every time your check cashes.

Local LE is a world different that Federal. (Though when "local" is NY or LA less so)

Even if one were to accept the premise that Federal LE is fiscally inefficient doesn't mitigate in the slightest that there are worthwhile services being rendered.

Morgan Freeman made the same determination that many of the mainstream media do when confronted with a large crowd who are predominantly white and from fly over country: They're probably rascist because they don't include an acceptable (how ever they measure it) amount of diversity. They make the same assumption about the folks attending NASCAR races and UT football games (the stands, not the field).

Most federal LE is unconstitutional and most of the services are not worthwhile. General police power was specifically left to the states. Just going off the top of my head, but as I recall the constitution only explicitly allows the feds to police treason, piracy and counterfeiting. Implicitly, they have the right to police attacks on mail, tax evasion and espionage. iirc

I can handle the FBI and CIA. ATF and DEA not so much. (Probably a few other alphabets out there if I really thought about it)

The real point was Chump trying to call out OE or any other regular LEO as some default representative of Federal big government waste, (including having them all thanking Obama for the check) which I don't think really follows. I'm not sure what the actual numbers are but I'd posit that there are a lot more state/local LEO than feds.

CIA isn't LE.

FBI exists to investigate federal crimes which aren't really supposed to exist, except for what I listed earlier.

I know, Muschamp is a very special person and his posts reflect that. I was just commenting about Fed LE in general, not making a point relevant to the thread. Especially since the thread lost all relevance once our special friend started whatever it is he thinks he is doing.
