So who would you choose as the most underrated Vol of the modern era (Majors till now)? By "underrated" I mean the guys who contributed the most but don't get talked about much or have stuff named after them.

This occurred to me after overhearing a discussion that included the name Peerless Price. He would probably be my choice. Maybe also the RB-trifecta of Garner, Little Man & Aaron Hayden from the 90's.

Never understood how a guy that played well enough here to be a 1st rounder and go on to 11 NFL seasons (including 5 Pro Bowls) just never seemed to get the props you'd think that'd bring.

I still remember when he excellerated by Benny Blades(Miami WR) to intercept a pass from ol' Vinny, in the Sugar Bowl.

I can recall at least twice (one was Auburn's Brent Fulwood, the other was, I'm almost positive, one of the MS teams) when he flat ran down a couple RB's that thought they were long gone. TM was our own Darrel Green.

James Berry -- for his own contribution on the field and for giving us his son, Eric.....and hopefully his twin sons, Elliott and Evan.

Greg amsler- fb/rb. He ran the ball 13 times straight against ole miss in the late 80s. He could also catch out of the backfield and was a crushing blocker.
