Could you do a current version of the Big Chill and not ruin it? I watched that the other night and had forgotten how good it was. One of the best soundtracks ever.

Not sure there's even a market for a movie like that nowadays, unless you make it extremely low budget.

Redesign V.I.N.C.E.N.T for sure. Give Maximillian something more menacing than spinning blades on his shoulders.
I think a more serious film with some comic relief could be done. "The Martian" and "Interstellar" were both serious movies with some genuinely funny moments.

That movie had the Circus manager said he's protecting his family for the reason in response to why he prevents persons from leaving and why he's killing the persons.

It's very nonsensical because persons leaving the Funhouse would not endanger his family.

In the remake he wouldn't have a nonsensical reason for refusing to allow persons to leave, the Funhouse could be a terrifying place in the style of a Haunted house.

Could be done? Sure, see St Elmos Fire basically the same thing for a younger generation. There have been many ensemble indie dramas lately that have the spirit of The Big Chill.

Not sure it counts as a remake but I'd like to see the death of superman done correctly instead tacked on to the poorly thought out BvS.

Not a movie, but the TV show Terra Nova (re-watching it on Netflix right now). There were a lot of avenues they could have gone with that one, especially if they didn't start until well after the colony was established.

Maybe reboot the series from where they found the wormhole and started the colony?

Speaking of re makes, what does everyone think about the upcoming movie Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle? I hated the idea of this until I saw the trailer. I LOVE the concept and it looks pretty funny.
