Movies you would like to see redone..

How about be original and don't remake anything?

That's pretty dumb because movies that were done wrong and are terrible, bad or mediocre should be remade.

After the abomination Captain America a new Captain America movie was made Captain America the 1st avenger a terrific movie.
If that mentality got used no Cape Fear, Captain America the 1st avenger, no He Man Masters of the Universe which possibly is getting remade-rebooted, etc.

Cape Fear the remake is a terrific Suspense noir movie that has advantages the original doesn't including 3 dimensional believable flawed characters instead of the simple black hat villain and white hat hero.
While I agree that Hollywood should have the high percentage of be original for movies that doesn't change movies that were done very wrong, and are awful, bad or mediocre should be remade.

Otherwise no remakes is saying accept garbage which includes all very unfaithful adaptations of video games as feature movies.

One example out of 100 crap shows...not impressive.

Great remakes

The Last House on the Left a great remake that didn't change from serious to goofy. Also the villains were more brutal, and in the style of Robocop we see something nefarious and inhumane that makes you utterly hate them.
It did have a interesting theme if someone you love was hurt in a egregious way how far would you go to hurt them back.
The Fly: With modern technology it was great seeing the guy become a fly, along with the problems as he slowly mutates into a fly.
Oceans 11: This is a great huge heist movie where we know why exactly Danny Ocean wants to rob a specific casino.
Homeward The Incredible Journey: How great because we can hear the animals talking, and it is exactly the animals have to overcome a lot to return home. Also we do see the problems of their pets missing creates.

The Italian Job: No damn cliffhanger because we get to see what the crew does with their money after the heist, plus it was cool to see a revenge movie of a dreadful man that simply doesn't care about right and wrong. Also the chase scene for the climax is simply spectacular.
Cape Fear a Great Remake, and I did say why.
The Hills Have eyes: A believable reason for why the family gets mutated and remains living in a far isolated area. Plus a terrific story of revenge for the 1 human survivor.

The Mists. At least they are doing a show.

I could name about ten Stephen King adaptations by themselves.

A few of TWD cast/crew were involved in making the original. Carol, Dale, and Greg Nicotero.

Im for originality in Hollywood, period.

So am I but that doesn't change movies should get remade if the movies are terrible, bad or mediocre.

Or if it can be improved with separators although certain movies including Jaws, Dirty Dancing, The Fugitive, The Running Man, Marked for Death, The Birds, etc should not be remade because of being terrific movies.

End of Days
Instead of Arnold as a badass good guy fighting the ultimate Villain the Devil that doesn't happen that much in this supernatural action horror movie, and when it does it's uninteresting and unimpressive.
It is a epic disappointment of what should have been a amazing epic action horror supernatural movie.

For it to be redone for most of the movie the Devil shown in his true appearance or form a Demon Body which includes Dragon wings.
He is sending his demons to kill humans and create destruction until no humans are alive.
Or same goal except with demons taking control of human bodies that still visibly appear ordinary for the human body so it's hard to find them without special tools, and can fool humans into hurting and killing other humans until none remain. Also demons also killing animals because they are dreadful.
The main hero instead of the dime a dozen cliche obsessed cop a more interesting would be a Pacifist.
He could be extremely dedicated to the whole violence isn't the solution but hard to remain believing no exceptions with demons and the Devil invading earth, and won't stop killing humans and creating destruction until all humans are dead.

The Devil very angry the Demons are losing decides to do the dirty work instead of watch, and the the main hero fights the Devil for the climax.
The climax could be at Bunker Hill, inside the Colosseum of Rome, in the Center of Times Square, inside Devils Gate Dam, or some area altered into a Infernal area and same humidity as the Sahara Desert 136 degrees which would make the victory all the more epic and outstanding.
Or the climax fight is in Hell.

Doom. Bring back The Rock and Karl Urban, but have them fighting against monsters from hell like in the video game.

The Sum of All Fears. Anybody who has read the book knows that it wasn't European terrorists who got the nuke.

I liked sum of all fears. Who was it in the book?

The Guyver
A serious violent science fiction action movie with Guyver the hero shown a large amount of time, along with great fights with great action plus practical effects for the aliens the same kind that was used for the movie Aliens.

It could be a cross of Aliens and the Rocketeer with bad guys that want a amazing item the hero has, brutal violence , and formidable aliens as the main villains.

Also show a plausible reason why the owner of the Corporation Chronos wants to use his corporation to rule the world and why exactly he created the suit.
Dark humor similar to Robocop, great soundtrack, also give the hero a personality so he's not a dull character.

If he's a pacifist that believes violence isn't the answer that would make a interesting character because the aliens won't stop hurting humans to get the armor suit back, and it will be obvious they can do more damage with the suit so maybe he'll learn he can be a pacifist but certain situations violence is the solution because never using violence as a solution has the result of physical pain and deaths that was avoidable if violence was used.
