Movies you've seen recently II

yeah,i was disappointed. i thought Bale was good....

but it wasn't at all what i expected...someone referenced the big short earlier, i didn't think Vice as near as good as that....

It was about Cheney and closed door politics, what exactly did you expect?

not sure exactly...just not that. it was...boring....and seemed kinda choppy. i thought it would be a better version of W i guess?

i will say this, i thought the sequence where they rolled the credits on the alternate ending was great...that was funny and well done....and it had it's funny moments.

huh cool. I really liked it and yes the fake ending was awesome. I knew nothing about his previous white house experience so that was fascinating to me.

You liked Glass? I havent seen it yet kind of worried its gonna suck

i did. i really like Mcavoy....and he's really good in it. i could take or leave willis and jackson, but the characters are cool, and it's a departure from the normal "hero" stuff, with the usual, but good, MNS twist at the end...

you bring up a good point about vice there with the history of chaney in politics.

i didn't know that either, and i really didn't know just how much influence he and DR had over the past 40 years or so....shame on me i guess. but that was interesting.

maybe i was little hard on the movie?

entertainment value was lacking for me...but intrigue factor was high...how 'bout that? lol.

6/10 - Didn't have the flaws of the Bay movies, but it was not as funny as the Bay movies either (at least the first three). The John Cena outtakes were the funniest parts, but those didn't fit in with the tone of the film. The production design in this was much, much better, and you could actually tell what was going on in the action scenes. They need to stick with these robot designs going forward. The plot, however, was thinner than even the Bay films. On the other hand, kudos for not relying on multiple McGuffin devices like the Bay movies. From a quality standpoint, this is probably the best Transformers film (not including the '86 movie). From an entertainment standpoint, not as good a popcorn film as the first three Bay movies.

on Glass...assuming you saw unbrekable and split...i thought they did a good job of more or less putting those two movies together, w/out making it look like they were trying to...if that makes sense.

I'm interested in it and look forward to watching it. Did you see Vice?
No. On my down the road list. Don’t think I can properly appreciate it until I see the upcoming Van Gogh exhibit. 😎
