Movies you've seen recently II

Jack Reacher was completely mis-cast. Reacher is 6'5" 250lb and a bad ass. So hollywood give us Tom Cruise in that role? Yeah...so close.

Casting can get pretty fluid, especially if the character isn't widely iconic with the mainstream audience. Sure anyone that knows the Reacher character from Child's source material can see the great character description differences but most audience members wouldn't. Then there's just the purely financial aspect of trying setting up an A-lister to face the franchise.

Just a another example of stature being thrown to the wind in casting in the source material Wolverine is a runt...like 5'7" tops with most canon running closer to 5'3. Hugh Jackman is 6'2".

watched The Taking of Pelham 1 2 3 (Amazon Prime I think). the original.

have seen it 2 or 3 times but it's a classic and classic New York City

Robbie is hot.

Godot is beautiful.

Kinda like the difference between a Porsche 911 Carrera and Mercedes S500.

Imo.

The last black man in San Francisco. Weird story. Excellent acting. The person In charge of shooting, camera angles, etc should win an academy award. At least it caught my untrained eye, and I enjoyed it. 8.5.

I’m not defending Cruise, but there probably aren’t many quality actors that are that physically imposing

The Green Knight 8.5/10 Visually stunning, some of the shots literally filled my soul, including the very first one. Felt like moving paintings sometimes. The story hits a lull at the beginning of the third act but ends with a brilliant flourish. If you like the simplicity of one man quest stories with stunning visuals, you will enjoy.

Where did you watch?

It's available to rent on Amazon but for $20. I didn't like it as much as @bignewt. I'd give it a 7/10. It is visually beautiful, but also extremely strange and moves along very slowly. My wife absolutely hated it.
Didn’t realize rates went that high for rentals as the most I’ve seen has been $4.99
