Movies you've seen recently II

Show Me The Father 9/10... It's more of a documentary style but it tells true stories of fatherhood and how father's are supposed to reflect the love of our Heavenly Father. It's a must see!

Prisoners of the Ghostland 8/10 If you are into Nicholas Cage, Mad Max infused Japanese craziness, this one might be for you. A visual treat and so off the charts nuts you have to smile.

Last name was West…. Three brothers
I believe McDad is a White House boy as well
Good friend of mine was Charles West. His younger brother and brother were friends too. His brother used to eat those little chocolate cake donuts and drink Budweiser on the way to school.

Lol…. That’s them. Their grandmother on the other side of the family lived up the street from me and they stayed with her during the summer while their parents were at work.
My next door neighbor was Charlie’s age and his younger cousin was over and a bunch of us were playing kickball in my backyard. Charlie’s brother, Mark got into a fight with the neighbor’s cousin and was whipping him… they were the same age… so my neighbor jumped in who was Charlie’s age… of course Charlie took up for Mark and jumped in so we had a battle royal going on. Charlie was getting the best of my neighbor ….. the neighbor went full 🦍💩 and picked up a rock about the size of a baseball and threw at Charlie…. It went right over his head and right through my bedroom window…..

Sounds just like them and I'd put my money on them every time. Charlie was crazy, mostly in a good way.

Commando.

Didn't remember Bill Paxton being in it or Arnie saying "I'll be back". Probably do remember, just don't remember. Lol.

Cry Macho. A Spring/Winter buddy action comedy of sorts. I hit pause a couple of times but eventually made it to the end. Maybe a 7/10. Good but slow in spots. The ending seemed a little too clean for the grittiness of the characters, but maybe that’s the point.

Old 5/10. I'm always torn by M. Night's movies. Usually its a great concept with just piss poor dialogue and execution. This one epitomizes that to the utmost. It's a great idea and there are moments that are entertaining and well executed...but good lord the dialogue and acting is SO BAD. Like he put in lines in the script as placeholders then forgot to go back and actually write. The last scene is the most laughably bad unnecessary thing I may have ever seen. Worth a watch just so you can laugh at the bad and yet enjoy the ride.

The Raid II - 10/10 for the action, hard to rate the movie as a whole because it’s 95% action. The main character has to be in fantastic shape to do everything in that film. Be warned - lots of violence and I mean a lot!

The Raid 2 sounds like a amazing action movie which is why I’ll watch The Raid 2.

A faithful serious Rated R Double Dragon remake based on the original arcade game would be like Raid 2 except 2 badass characters smashing a high amount of bad guys set in a post apocalyptic New York City similar to the great movie Escape From New York with their goal to rescue Marian also defeat the main villain Willy and the Black Warriors.
All reasons why Hollywood should remake Double Dragon because a faithful Rated R serious Double Dragon could be a great movie.

I watched about 10 minutes of the mess.

It's so awesome. Did you notice the guy who crosses over into the John Wick universe? Apparently there will be more of that Raid/JW crossover in JW4.
