Movies you've seen recently II

Being The Ricardos. 7/10 I knew when I saw Sorkin that it would be well written. The casting was good, Kidman impressed as I kind of questioned her casting at first. Great support cast and the inner workings of the show was very interesting.

Nightmare Alley 7.5/10. Absolutely gorgeous visuals. Long (2.5 hours) and little depressing. The carnival sets and the Art Deco sets are fantastic and quite the contrast but share that Del Toro vision.

Worth a watch

Felt like an overly long twilight zone episode but yes visually stunning.

The Devil All the Time 9/10
I was born in 52 and saw a lot of the things in this movie. Backwards religion. It brings back a lot of memories.
Dad was from Scott County, VA. Could have been in the movie like most areas of the South.

I thought it was pretty good but I couldn't stand Pattinson in it. He did a good job, but he was just gross and I did not like.

Jackass Forever tonight. I have to.

I saw it last night. I laughed...a lot...BUT there was a little too much "genital abuse" for me. I'm not sure how it stayed R with all the franks & beans.

I love how Del Toro uses amber lighting. His films are always visually stunning. I saw Nightmare Alley in black & white. I thought it would be cool because of the time setting but I actually think it took away from the movie. It was still good. Classic Del Toro. I give it a 7/10.

Ha, Gross = Charismatic
I thought the same, but I suspect that is is exactly what they wanted. Has to do with being anointed by God.
