The Babadook 8/10

The kid was really good, the mom was awesome. Nice slow build up, old school horror style creaks and bangs instead of over the top shock "scares" which I appreciated. Not that I would really consider it Horror. Would have been a higher rating, except Sam Raimi must have took over filming at about the hour and 5 minute mark. I laughed pretty hard for about 15 minutes at the silly stuff going on. Don't get me wrong I love that stuff, but it seemed out of place for what the first hour was. Overall it was pretty good though.

Next to Pontypool, it's the best horror film I've seen in awhile.

GalaxyQuest - 4/5

While it starts out a bit slow it really picks up once everyone makes it to the alien base/ship. I wasn't a fan with way they ended it.

I never realized how good the CGI, sets, etc. . were! The makeup on the bad aliens (can't think of there name) rivaled any Star Trek film and the bridge of both of the ships looked spectacular!

I never realized it had such a great over all cast as well. Rickman & Shalhoub steal every scene they are in but its fantastic. I also didn't know that was Enrico Colantoni playing the main alien.

Also what more could be said about Sigourney Weaver!! She turned 50 the same year this was released and she's smoking hot in it!!

 Sigourney Weaver showing her cleavage is the only reason I watch that movie. Weaver is also gorgeous in the original "Ghostbusters".

Her: 8.5/10.

Good movie. I'm guessing it takes place at some point in the future but I don't remember hearing a date. It didn't look futuristic, but it's like they moved the public's perception of AI forward by years or decades. People having some kind of friendship or dating their operating system isn't really that abnormal and is kind of socially accepted.

Babadook-8/10. Pretty good! Think I'm gonna watch sharknado 2 again now.

Dead Alive 10/10

I've seen this 50 times and its as great as ever, one of my all time favorites. If you are a horror fan and you haven't watched this, I hope you get bit by an infected monkey.

Is it on Netflix?

Is that the one that Peter Jackson directed? With the famous "lawnmower" scene?
