Basically it's about a mom and her child who their husband/father passed away and they read this story book called "mr babadook" and the monster in the book starts to haunt them. It's basically a movie about depression and how the mother copes with it

It's a great horror film that is blessed with a pair of fantastic performances by an unheard of actress and a child.

Nothing new or profound about the story, it's just executed very well. Timing is everything in a good horror flick;this one nails it.

Has anyone seen It Follows? Supposed to be another great horror movie, haven't had an opportunity to catch it yet.

Annabelle was absolutely terrible and not scary whatsoever.

Conjuring was pretty dang good though. The Babadook was also pretty spine-tingling creepy as well, though the 1st act was a bit of a chore to get through.

The babadook : 8/10

I waited for this one for a while, and it didn't disappoint. This movie just does a great job of telling the story, and there are definitely some creepy scenes. Don't pass this one up.

I watched babadook a few months ago at like midnight alone with all the lights off hoping for it to be creepy. I guess it's just because I'm a horror movie buff but it disappointed in that department. As far as the film itself goes it was great. It's worth watching. The acting was good and the setting was good. The symbolism in the film can be interpreted many different ways.
