World War Z. Thought it was great.
Hunger Games Catching Fire. Thought it was stupid.
Next up... Oblivion. Want to see the Entourage movie as well. And come August, American Ultra. Could be stupid, could be awesome. I didn't like Scott Pilgrim even though I like Michael Cera in other things. I like Jesse Eisenberg far more than Michael Cera so I'm intrigued despite the possibility it could be one of those really poorly done cheesy movies. Can't be any worse than that Wet Hot American Summer movie. There were some okay parts but given the cast, the movie was pretty crappy. Can't believe they made a prequel.
Speaking of bad prequels, the new Star Wars previews look awesome compared to the garbage prequels George Lucas crapped out of his ass. I thought being by Disney would make it garbage but it sounds like they got the right people who actually liked Star Wars rather than people who would just do it for the huge paycheck that comes with such a big title.
But yeah, if American Ultra is done more like Zombieland and less like Scott Pilgrim, I'm looking forward to it.
Watched Get Hard and Jurassic World this weekend. Both were good, JW wasn't as good as I thought it'd be though. Get Hard had a lot of funny parts but the ending was predictable.
Watched "Snowpiercer" last night. It's not often I feel like a movie is completely unique, but it is, and it's very, very good. 9/10.
Definitely agree with the "unique" part but not so sure about the "very, very good" part. Overall, I still liked the movie and if I were going with your type of scale I'd probably say 7/10 but I thought it fell apart pretty significantly at the end. Basically I felt like the journey through the train was amazing, especially the Tilda Swinton character and Allison Pill as the teacher, but finally getting to the front was a letdown.

Ex Machina 10/10. Now I know why I've been waiting on Alex Garland to make his first film.
