LOL, I'm just saying the movie is not a valid "indictment on American journalism". Again, these are extreme circumstances and you are talking about all of journalism.
I agree that the media keeps us dumb, but it's not because there is some vast conspiracy of evil minds trying to keep us dumb. We want bad news, so that is what they look for and that is what they give us. If anything this movie is an indictment of what the American people like to see on the news. They make the producer and the camera man the villains, but most are not like them. Most are just doing their jobs, giving us what we want.
My bro in law worked for Headline News. He hated it. Writing stories about Michael Jackson coma-watch day 15 or whatever. That's what the people want to see.
