and by Adam Sandler movie, I mean Adam Sandler movie. Not counting flicks like Spanglish, Punch Drunk Love etc.

I loved Happy Gilmore, but objectively speaking it's not that great. I would say Wedding Singer is the best "Adam Sandler" movie if we are going to exclude his quality films.

honestly, i would say this is the exact case for roughly all of his comedies. Happy Gilmore and The Wedding Singer are actually the least applicable to that imo

Wedding Singer has wider appeal, it's better writing, and it has great music, IMO. Happy Gilmore was great because I was 13. I still think it's pretty good, I just don't think it's as great as everyone says. It doesn't hold up like Tommy Boy and other comedies I consider all-time classics. Every damn thing I laughed at in Tommy Boy at age 13 is still funny to me now.

Agreed on The Wedding Singer. Strongly disagree on Happy G. I somewhat feel that way for most every other Sandler comedy though, which I what I was saying in my last post.

Bridge of Spies

I really enjoyed it. If you're not into historical movies, you probably won't like it as much. Tom Hanks was great as always. The supporting acting was surprisingly good. Spielberg directing and the Coen brothers writing speak for themselves.
