Trainwreck .01/10

Waste of time.

Extremely over-rated. I got bored one night and watched it On Demand on Direct Tv. The only funny parts involved John Cena and Lebron. Other than that, it was very disappointing.

Watch The Kingsmen last weekend. I'll go 7/10. It's entertaining and it's not a serious spy movie like Bond movies go for. The action is over the top ridiculous at points, but it's in fun scenarios. Some humor that comes out of nowhere that made me laugh.

the revenant I thought it was really good I'd give it a 9/10 and Tom hardy is one of the best in the business

Just seen the Hateful Eight. Not the same pace as Django Unchained, but maybe a better written script. Tarantino appears to have a propensity for using the N word in his recent movies and it is used here quite frequently along with a few other words. But the psychological concept of this movie is what's great. Starts out a bit slow, but for a reason, just stay with it. I give it 8.5/10

Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith - 3/5

When Sidious tells Anakin that he killed Padmé after he asks how she is when he finally comes too wearing the Darth Vader outfit.

That moment he looks up with outstretched hands and yells "NOOoooooo" has to be one of the most unintentionally funniest moments on film! I couldn't help but laugh!

Night crawler with Jake Gyllenhal. It's about a guys who chases late night news stories... Pretty interesting. Bill Paxton and Renee Russo are in it as well

Eden 7/10

About a soccer team who's plain crashes on a deserted island, and the typical struggle for survival ensues. I like these types of movies, and it did an ok job. It could have done a better job developing why the characters went the direction they did. It starts kind of slow, then everyone just kind of randomly picks sides. Aside from the 2 male leads, all of the guys are interchangeable and have no depth to them. The 2 main male actors were great though.

About Alex 6.5/10

A guy tries to commit suicide and his old college friends reunite to help him, and old wounds are opened yada yada yada. The usual song and dance, its saved slightly by a pretty strong cast.

Side note: I watched these randomly back to back and both had Nate Parker. I wasn't aware of him before, but he is a really good actor.

Star Wars- 4.5/5 - I haven't seen the originals in probably 10-12 years or more so I started watching it for the first time on Blu-ray and they look fantastic!

Star Wars: The Empire Strikes Back - 4/5 - I know a lot of people consider this the best of original trilogy but I don't get that I thought there was a lot of boring parts especially the above ground scenes on Hoth (Luke's run in with the yeti from Rudolph) prior to the Empire showing up and the majority of the stuff with a Yoda!

Did you ever see Wristcutters: A love story?

Sicario. I expected this to be much better with all the high praise. While it wasn't terrible I felt it was a little disjointed. Acting was very good but the story just lacked something for me, like why the girl was so hell bent on fighting cartels by the book.

Star Wars: Force Awakens

8/10

It actually felt like a Star Wars movie, unlike the prequels. Dark, gritty, some campy humor, great sound track, great acting, simple yet intriguing story, great CGI integrated with practical effects. I think it met or slightly exceeds expectations for the franchise.

The Revenant 8.5/10 Alejandro Inarritu's films are so visually stunning and the cinematography so lyrical the form becomes a character of its own. Far dirtier, grittier Jeremiah Johnson story. Enjoyed it because like the old West everything in it looked beaten, withered, and stinking. DiCaprio is pretty believable. Tom Hardy is damn good. The Bear, I hear, is now dating Taylor Swift.

Trainwreck. 2.5/10 Appropriate title. A complete mess. Schumer is funny and her act works on a small screen but not a big one.

Melancholia 4/10 End of the world at a wedding. Some good scenes but way too plodding and self-indulgent. But Charlotte Gainsbourg makes it watchable for me.

Can't wait to see this movie! The trailer looks amazing and the music sounded good. I have never heard of the composer for it, but still looking forward to hearing it

Do you think Leo could finally win an Oscar? Or do you think Hardy would have a better chance?
