Correct, a plan hatched and carried out from the highest office in the land didn’t work because of our institutional controls and people doing their duty. Proving that our system is strong, secure and in no danger.

You are likely (once again) trying to draw an equivalency with the state of Hawaii from the 1960 Presidential Election. We have been down this road many times before. Once again, it's another false equivalency ....

Wrong .... It didn't work because Mike Pence wouldn't play ball. That's not an institutional control. To this day, Donald Trump continues to insist that the alternate elector scheme was a viable path to victory for him and Pence.

A state that had electors rejected because of a contested election...compared to a state that had elections contrasted so electors were questioned....

Alt electors accepted in a state due to elections being contested...alt electors submitted in states where elections were contested..

And this is a false equivalency to you?? Damn near apple to apples...maybe sweet to sour difference but they are the same...you just dont like that it had been done because it means Trump may not be convicted and that would hurt your feeling even more

No I didnt because I've read the opposite side and its ignores the basic fact the the VP had the right to reject electors until it was changed...being as super smart as you are why was it so vital that it be changed to make it ceremonial???? You cant ignore basic facts

If you didn't watch the video, then how do you know what it ignores? We have covered this exhaustively in the past. Read the two links that I posted in post #184 from up above as well. Mike Pence did not have that right on January 6, 2021.

You think the Steele Dossier is the same thing as Trump's efforts to overturn the outcome of his own defeat, through bullying Pence into participating in the alternate elector scheme? We even had a riot result from these efforts inside of the United States Capitol, because a mob of Trump's supporters believed it could work, and help Trump retain the presidency.

That is a desperate reach at playing what-about-ism.

This is an anonymous message board. I don’t care what anyone thinks.

I know several well educated idiots. In fact they are plentiful in DC. Some even showered with their daughters and have crackhead sons that buy hookers and video the encounters.

You can be mature and intelligent in your professional life and different other places. Unless you can’t differentiate, and that is a problem.

To start with the 1st one...
1. Secrecy--- show me where it states that elector meeting have to he publicly known. Is it shady, maybe...since do political opponent release strategies to each other.

2. Recounts..true recounts were don3le by the time electors were selected.....but and this leads to
3. False allegations...strictly opinion that the allegations were false at the time. There were also courts case open during that time in each state. Not by Trump but hy others and in those case the final disposition ruling were not till January, which means they were actively challenging the election results. Meaning if they had won any case recounts etc would have had to have been done.

So what Pence did was the correct decision, but he could have with the unaimous support of Congress (which would not happen) rejected those electors. He chose not to which was again the correct choice.

Question...do you believe there were irregularities regarding the elections in those swing states?? Whether rules changes, anything out of the ordinary.

Are you talking about Jan 6 or the plot to get Trump removed from office almost from the day he began?

BTW - just saw that Mark Meadows, his Chief of Staff supposedly had been an informant for the FBI and was wearing a wire around Trump while still in office. If true, it is difficult to see how the genie ever goes back in the bottle again.
