'25 MS QB Deuce Knight (Auburn commit)

Are they seniors?
Same class…’25

One has an offer from Troy
One has offers from UAB and Marshall

I actually thought they were 3*…..I’m incorrect…..but still talented and feel bad in a way….Maybe one will move down the road to BGA and help out a once proud program.:)

Yea you'd think they have to leave. I'd definitely want to if I wanted to play in college.

Michael Vick was stupid fast and stupid athletic. What he did to FSU was absurd.
so yea…stop it. 🤦🏻‍♂️
you're talking about a college Mike Vick.

Not really fair, or smart to judge just yet.

What was Vick doing at 15 years old in Newport News, VA??
He damn sure wasn't winning the state championship in any track n field event.

Good for Lipscomb.

now……I do feel bad for the TWO 3* QBs that now need to figure out what they do next????

that sucks
yeah, i was thinking the same thing.

Plenty of good high schools in Middle Tennessee could use them tho.

Deuce and LA play George and BA at LA on October 20th btw. Also Lipscomb Academy isn't done
It was maybe 2 or 3 years ago?
I said to you that Tennessee could have their own IMG or St Frances one day.

With the culture of transplant families moving to the state of Tennessee for the past 25 years or so.
Look for this trend to continue.
We have Martavious Collins for 2024 and Deuce Knight for 2025 already.

I hope he and GMAC light up friday nights in Mid-State!

One more thing:

I keep seeing people saying Gmac is more "polished" lol.
We all know what that is...
Have you actually watched Deuce's highlights??
He's right there with him in my opinion

Gmac is also a very good basketball player! Very athletic and creative in his own right..

Both of these kids are a sign of the times. You can't just label one "ATH" and the other "pocket QB".
Who would you be talking about if you did??

Collins isn’t a good example of that but yeah Knight and another guy LA is adding soon are.

I’m not dumping on the kid but GMac is super skinny. I wonder if he can put enough weight on to be durable enough for the SEC.

Yes he can and so can Nico, who is just as skinny. With the strength and food programs teams have now, gaining weight isn't an issue. They will figure out what works and doesn't work for each individual. Plus GM is still weeks out from even starting his Sr year. Definitely not an issue, plus with Nico and Jake ahead of him, he will have the time to adapt and not get thrown into the fire his Fr year.

I assume you mean a more polished version of AR in HS and not a more polished version of the 4th overall pick in the NFL draft.

AR isn't anywhere close to being polished. He was drafted so high because of his ceiling and athleticism. He isn't starting anytime soon in the NFL.

Old conversation I’d date back to Tony Robinson. Rail thin signalcallers extraordinarily durable. Robinson would’ve blown his knee out if he’d have weighed 250 lbs. Tyler Bray and Josh Dobbs…heard the same concerns. None of them broke in half against SEC competition.

Yet again you show why your football knowledge is that of a crippled garden slug

Absolutely! And Both Bray and Dobbs took their share of beatings but never broke. Same with Robinson, some guys frame's hold weight better than others. I can see Gmack in the 210-225 range by time he's matured. He probably can't live in the 185-200 range and survive SEC hits every game, but can add some muscle and top out in that 210-225 range. The same for Nico too.

If Lipscomb cherry picked just 5 guys from across TN, and MS. That would be similar to the talent pool in LA County.
Oddly enough :
TN population 6 million. MS 2.9 Million. Los Angles County 9.9 million.

If Knight somehow, for some reason, becomes our QB….it would be 2026 at the soonest. If we are developing a pipeline to LA, then we can start preparing him for our offense. I’d say this offense - because it’s designed to stretch the D - can work with a wide range of QBs.

But he’s still much better than a HS kid who hasn’t played his Jr season.

I do and I don't...I guess I see both sides. It kinda comes with the territory when you sign up to play at a place like LA. Same as BA, or IMG Academy, or Bishop Gorman in Vegas. You just have to always know there are no promises and competition is always coming. It is a bit of a preview of what college ball will be like. Programs are always looking to upgrade, so just know that when you come in. It might not always be the case, and perhaps not in this instance, but thise two 3* QBs were likely brought in from the outside and crushed the dreams of someone else before them.
