So how do you know Hooker wouldn’t have succeeded in 90% of the situations? Oh you don’t. As a matter of fact your statement about Williams and Maye is pure conjecture. Take Williams. Is he in a different system than he was in OU? No. Maye is in the same system.
Yes but most prefer GM ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
Honestly Duece is more like a more polished version of Anthony Richardson. Kid is explosive as hellIt’s not that difficult to understand. Knight is more in the mold of Hooker. More athletic. Where as GMac is more like Nico. More of a pocket passer who has good eacapability when needed. Both are good passers but GMac is more polished.
Now some like to say Knight is perfect for this offense and that’s true. But so is Macintyre. I think you can’t go wrong with either one. But say both Knight and Macintyre wanted to commit now and the coaches could only take one. My bet would be Macintyre. Why? He is the more polished passer.
AR wasn’t taken 4th because he was a polished passer.
Just because he was drafted 4th doesn’t make him good. Look at past QB’s drafted. See Leaf, Russell and Couch.Yet saying a kid who hasn’t played his Jr season in HS is a more polished version of the 4th overall pick in the NFL draft is still absurd.
I don’t doubt he’s good. But if this were true, he would be the #1 overall player in the country and it wouldn’t be close. Heupel would turn all of his attention to him and GMac wouldn’t be in the picture. Or is someone about to claim GMac is a more polished version of CJ Stroud?
