'19 MS SDE Jalil Clemons (Memphis signee)

Sounds like they evaluated him at de with no consideration that he could be recruited as olb.

This. People including several colleges were taking the close minded oh he plays DE in HS so must be a DE so he is small for a college De. Pruitt sees a guy putting up numbers but is small so he says let's look at him at OLB on a camp setting. I think he can play this position then they get their hands on him in camp to validate their evaluation.

So basically he has dominated the camp circuit, even beating Clay Webb, but he’s a little small and that’s why he’s only a 3 star? Interesting

Another way to say it would be...

"We totally screwed the pooch here. However, instead of admitting it, we are going to slowly walk him close to the ranking he truly deserves but never give him the full credit that he has earned. We will use a variety of excuses to justify our blunder. Thanks for the $9.95."

"Your check has cleared so we're going to be frank. We totally screwed the pooch here. However, instead of admitting it, we are going to slowly walk him close to the ranking he truly deserves but never give him the full credit that he has earned. We will use a variety of excuses to justify our blunder. Thanks for the $9.95."

Beautiful, Glitch...with a minor revision.

I know you're only comparing size but lets keep in mind Miller ran a 4.53 at the combine. He's a freak.

That's very true, he was just the first NFL 3-4 OLB that came to mind. Just thought it was funny a HS recruit was labeled as small when he's almost NFL size

Chris Jones was a 6’ 4” 240-pounder DE when he got his 5-star rating from Rivals. He showed up at the MSU Fall camp as a 300-pounder who got drafted after three years. Not sure why that seems so far-fetched.
