This.A lot of kids do this kind of stuff... they just don't usually say it publicly for a lot of good reasons.
I'm not sure "come join me at UT... maybe" is a very good pitch for a peer recruiter.
I know Dabo isn't popular here but he and others have taken some stands over time with kids like this that now work in their favor. Unless he's a really, really special player... I would honestly have to think about cutting him loose.
His reasoning was he "just couldn't see Ole Miss letting a kid 10 minutes away from Oxford go to Tennessee, especially with Lane Kiffin." He also put in a prediction for Jamonta Waller to Ole Miss and he said his reasoning was he was "guessing" and "it was a hunch"Ole Miss insider changed his pick from UT to Ole Miss
Yeah but Ole miss leads for Waller and not just because he got CB’d by a homer. Has a prediction on ON3 by a National guy. Homer or not these guys don’t wanna be wrong lol. Im not worried about it but I wouldn’t be suprised if he eventually flipped. There is no reason not to keep options open as a recruiter, especially with NIL in play. A lot of these young players go where they will get the most money. The current staff wants kids who have fully bought in.Correct. On rare occasions, coaches run out of space and get a commit that they really prize causing them to pull someone else's offer. It happens because coaches continue to "recruit over" players even after taking their commitment. Everyone knows it. Everyone does it. But they don't go out and say, "We're really committed to Joe Widenceiver but we're open to anyone who is better than him and will pull his offer to make space."

How is it bonkers to believe someone should stick to their word? LOL you dudes are ridiculous.
I didn't see he compared it to marriage. Must have missed it.I said comparing marriage to picking a college is bonkers. Even if you think it is the same level of commitment, recruits don’t. Neither do I, but my opinion is as useless as yours. What matters is it’s not like that for kids being recruited.
The end.
It is a weird collection of words to use if that’s the case.Just talked to him. He immediately knew what I was reaching out about and says that’s just a fun way to still enjoy the process some on Twitter. Says he is still “locked in and honoring his commitment” but that is one way he can enjoy the process while doing that. Fwiw

Never said it was. It was an ANALOGY. They're not perfect and often aren't meant (as in this case) to have equal gravity. And also the analogy itself wasn't even about marriage. It was about a girl keeping a guy on the hook while she played the field looking for an upgrade.I said comparing marriage to picking a college is bonkers. Even if you think it is the same level of commitment, recruits don’t.
It is about both sides either being committed or not being committed. A one-sided commitment is STUPID.Neither do I, but my opinion is as useless as yours. What matters is it’s not like that for kids being recruited.

I think it's more of him loving the attention. You have kids like this every year that love being gaslighted. Most just consider it as "enjoying the process". It also allows them to continue having stories written about them by recruiting services and get more social media followers. It's the world we live in now.IF Harrell is wavering, could be because Matthews and Wingo have indicated they’re coming and JJ doesn’t want to be behind them. Actually a very realistic scenario
