MSN/Fox News ranks SEC QBs

UGA: Hutson Mason had one good game (GA Tech) and one bad game (Nebraska).

Thompson at USCe has a much better arm than Conner Shaw but can he manage the game?

Vandy: Robinette is ok but not spectacular.

Mizzou: Maty Mauk is good but who will he throw to this year as top three WR from last year are gone?

For all we know, bama may have been sold snake oil in Coker...but he is probably good until kiffen corrupts him.

UK, ARK QBs suck bad. LSU has a potential crisis with their QBs.

aTm... Unproven.

Ole Miss: Bo is good as long as he isn't pressured or hurt.

MSU: Dak Prescott may be the best.

UF: Driscol is ok if you are looking for a runner...coming off a broken leg though!

Aub: 90% runner, 10% passer...ok passer.

If I had to pick 3, I would go with: Thompson, Dak & Mauk. Top 5: add in Hutson Mason and Worley/Bo (Toss up)

Mauk had 4 starts last fall. He was under 50% completions or under in 3 of them. He was 61% against UK. Dobbs did that WITHOUT UT's best WR (North). Worley gets blamed when he had very little reliability at the WR position. Mauk gets praised though he was throwing to an experienced, talented, and reliable group.

Mauk may improve alot... but he wasn't as good as many seem to think last year. His team carried him.

I don't want to knock the kid, but his accuracy last year was just plain bad. There were numerous passes where a receiver was running open and Worley would miss by over 10 yards. By far the most inaccurate QB I have seen in a UT uniform and I Have been watching since the late 80s. Maybe (hopefully) he will take a step forward this season.

Joey Matthews was less accurate

Crompton in 2008 was the worst I've seen and the numbers bear it out. 51%, 889 yds in 8 starts, 4 tds, 5 ints, 98 passer rating.

True. Crompton was really bad that year. Maybe Worley will make the same strides for his senior season. Let's hope.

Never said he was a bad coach.

Just not a good fit for UT - we are not a patient group.

He should do well in Winston Salem

Yes he should. The only other coach in the NCAA that scares me if he goes to the SEC is Gary Andersen.

Worley could have a great year...consider the "weapons" he has and the way his numbers improved over the year when he was playing. I know he had some good stats in the tune-up games, but really struggled in the following few and then seemed to "get it" before injury. He is no all american, but he could be a pleasant surprise. O-line is he key.

Really struggled? He threw for more yds than Murray and Shaw in the Ga and SC games, he passed for a better % than those 2, they avg'd 2 TDs passing in those 2 games, Worley 1. Worley threw 0 ints in those 2 games. Murray and Shaw both ran better than he did, but we hope for more this year.
