You know there is a reason people surround themselves with experts right? Especially those in charge, who literally could not fully understand EVERYTHING they have to deal with. Its literally their job to save the President's ass.Absolutely. I think obstruction of justice fits anyones definition of a high crime. I believe conspiracy to obstruct justice also fits. People are arrested all the time for planning crimes that never get carried out. It seems the President's men saved his ass by not firing Mueller.
I believe it would be a gift to Trump and the Right if the Democrats attempt to bring impeachment charges. They're going to get a lot of milage by following up of findings in the Mueller report. (PS, I have only read excerpts, I plan to read it all when I get time)
Why did he get rid of them? You know there is a reason people surround themselves with experts right? Especially those in charge, who literally could not fully understand EVERYTHING they have to deal with. Its literally their job to save the President's ass.
seems like Trump knows how to surround himself with a good support staff. A very important skill.

That is a column with many valid points of criticism at the Obama administration. Obama was in power while this was going on and failed to act to even the slightest degree. It was bad leadership, no getting around that. However, where this column fails (and suggests a hint of partisanship) is that it doesn't even mention that as a candidate and also while as President, Donald Trump continued to publicly side with Putin's denials of Russian interference into the 2016 Presidential election and cast doubt on the conclusions of the United States Intelligence Community. He did it as recently as last July in the infamous Helsinki press conference with his "I don't see why it would be (Russia)" line while standing right next to Putin. The American people deserved to see a strong response to Russia over this... and we have been let down by weak leadership from both parties. This is from CNN. Poor guy Scott Jennings, RIP

How ignorant. Russia's intrusion involved much more than that... and no, we don't have better things to do than protect our democracy from the influence of foreign adversaries.Strong Response over Facebook posts and someone not knowing how to use email.... surely we have bigger things to deal with than that.
Those semantics are hard for me to get my head around. When does any investigation end in an official exoneration?
Trey Gowdy just nailed it. DOJ files charges and issues indictments. They don't write research papers for public consumption.Prosecutors prefer charges or they don't. To speak of exoneration would both sound like playing judge and jury and bring up a question about why they wasted their time and our money on a worthless gesture. It's always got to be there was reason to look but not enough to bring charges ... saving face. The only time that would be different is a whitewash for a political crony ... and Trump was absolutely nobody's political crony.
