Mueller Report Imminent

I caught that too.. The implications of that statement might lead Trump to conclude that Barr has a "conflict of interest".

The report discussed this pretty concisely. It was never suggested that they couldn't reach a conclusion. They felt it would be unfair to level an outright accusation without assuming the burden of proof at trial.

Good grief. Finebaum, Grassley , and Leahy need to go back home. They can barely read their own questions. Too freakin' old. Sorry.

Might explain the current panic, and Trump's obstruction of congressional subpoenas.

Only deaf, dumb, and blind Trumpian soldiers could read that letter and think it means nothing.

Mueller is specifically saying that the letter that Barr wrote was misleading the American people because it substituted Barr's political spin and protection of Trump for the actual conclusions by the investigatory team.

Unfair.......no.....They felt, they know, it would be ignorant to throw out an outright accusation with little to no proof of said accusation....

True or False: It's DOJ policy not to indict the sitting president.

See, if i were a member of Congress my question to Mueller would be simple:

"Your report states that under DOJ policy the department cannot indict a SITTING President. Moreover, it would be unfair to do so because he cannot fight back in a court of law to clear the charge. So let me pose this hypothetical. If your report was coming out a month after President Trump left office, but still within the statute of limitations, would you have made a criminal charge or recommended a criminal charge against him for obstruction of justice?"

Pretty simple. Its either a timing issue or its not. From what I have read, I think Mueller would answer "yes" to that question.

If this were the only hold up why wouldn't Mueller make a finding of obstruction but say he could not indict on that finding? What's to stop him from making such a statement?

Nothing. He could have easily made his case as to why he thought Trump obstructed justice in his report and let congress decide whether to impeach or not. He didn't do that because this is what he wanted.

Why bother - start the impeachment. After all you claimed that Mueller specifically left this to Congress to decide.
