NFL just announced that if games are played, masks will be required for fans in attendance. Expect the same then for college football.

The coronavirus pandemic shows no signs of slowing, so fans may not be allowed in NFL stadiums when the league kicks off its regular-season slate of games. Philadelphia officials announced that fans wouldn't be allowed at Eagles games, while both New York teams announced that they would not have fans in attendance. Others cling to hope that they can at least host a limited number of fans.
Several teams had already announced that, should fans be allowed, they will be required to wear face coverings. The NFL's announcement makes the mandate official across the league.
The San Francisco 49ers are scheduled to open the regular season against the Arizona Cardinals on 13Sept at Levi's Stadium in Santa Clara. They will then travel to the East Coast to face the two New York teams, which, as mentioned, aren't allowing fans, in back-to-back games. This all assumes CA as a state just doesn't step up and finally declare "no more". Then 49ers will be in quite a pickle.
I’m not sure if Maryland was sued for the player’s death and/or if they settled, but it’s easy to side with the family as they could argue he was exposed to unsafe conditions. We could say covid is an unsafe condition since we don’t have a vaccine for it. I want football as much as anyone, but I don’t think universities will want to accept the risk of litigation.
But then again, some universities are allowing students on campus. So who knows what they’ll do...
Actually the first death was a college baseball player back in April. There have been dozens, perhaps hundreds, of college athletes who have tested positive. Have any of them died? Have any of them been hospitalized? Have any of them been mildly inconvenienced?
No.
College athletes aren't elderly. They don't have extreme breathing problems.
Let's end the hyperbole and play some football.
Isn’t that word allow the key to mitigating liability? Kids are not being forced to play, no scholarship lost and maybe sitting out a year for this won’t cost a year. If a decision is made not to play for health reasons why not allow them to retain the year? Likewise if a kid chooses to play and does catch it he should not be allowed to sue because of it. Seems fair. Playing or not playing both have risks.
I think that
I think those with asthma are at high risk of serious outcomes if they become infected; not at high risk of becoming infected.
I think the virus is being WAY overblown but I do want to caution that inhaler steroids can cause serious systemic health issues. It took me 3 years to recover from complications.Actually, asthma patients are at Low risk for this CRAP. The Inhalers contain steroids that Block the Virus. How excellent for them. Additionally, most EVERY Case Of Covid can be cured with the Inhaler Steroid Pulmicort. Budesonide is the new name for this drug that stops Covid, and you will never hear about it; Since Big Pharma and Fauci's Crew Must sell their $3400 Remdisivir; which is basically a disinfectant, and Non Effective. IF treated early with Hydroxy OR Budesonide, Plus Zinc, this Pandemic would be done in short order. Politics over People. DEAD People.

The 140k number is a big concern. I’m against shutting things down but am 100% for masks mandates inside buildings being enforced. This is the only way to flatten the curve without shutting everything down again. We're a nation of >300 million people. Reportedly and cumulatively back to when numbers were first being recorded to today we have over 3 million people that have or have had the Coronavirus-19. There is zero reliable recording nationally that tells you on any given day how many active cases are in place. Reporting on those no longer infected is nil coming out of some states for example. The nation was sold on the idea we had to shut down so as to avoid a to 2 to 3 million tsunami of deaths due to this virus. Shut down we did. 300 million total people, 3 million totally infected including the bulk of whom have moved past it and no longer carry it, with 140,000 dead, most of whom had other health challenges including one motorcycle hitting a car accident where the motorcycle driver's death was recorded as a covid death. You decide for yourselves whether the numbers are worthy of wide spread panic and hand wringing or a shrug of the shoulders, the Big Tuna says you are who or what your numbers say you are.

Can you please expand on that? Infections?
