Multiple USCe O-Linemen out for Tennessee game

They are completely 1 dimensional right now. Only 5 teams are worse from a rushing standpoint, whereas UT is 8th in rushing.
On the defensive side, UT is tanked 42nd and USCjr is ranked 48th. Passing defense is markedly different. UT is somewhere in the upper middle in the NCAA, only 4 teams are worse than USCjr in pass defense. They are currently giving up over 300 yards per game vs UT at just over 190. In total defense, UT is 28th and USCjr is bottom 10.

Stats are somewhat sketchy this time of year. We have played 1 decent team and 3 scrubs. They've actually played better teams imo.

i get where you were trying to go with that but just Naw man....thats going way too far and tasteless. Joking about stuff like that ain't cool.
C’mon man. How many people have you seen decapitated on a football field?

Now if he had said something in the realm of possibility like “I hope he gets a concussion”, that would have been going too far.

Today on SECN they said that Legette is "MVP after four games" in the SEC. Not sure I quite buy that level of hype, especially considering Allysa Lang is an SC homer, but he is very good.
Yep, I think he has surprised and maybe got some lucky catches but I kept thinking Hyatt would sort of bottom out last year after Cedrick went down and he started getting more looks. Legette is getting all the looks since Juice Wells went down. My fear is we have no one to match up with Legette. So, I hope we dial up a bunch of different blitzes and just don't rush 3 or 4 and drop into pass coverage. To me dropping 7 or 8 & waiting for the catch to either try to defend or just tackle in place, that is a recipe for Rat to eat us up and down the field.

From today...
COLUMBIA – Injuries continue to plague South Carolina football's offensive line as starting right guard Jakai Moore was downgraded to questionable by coach Shane Beamer on his radio call-in show Thursday.

Beamer said Tuesday that Moore did not practice but was optimistic he would be available to play when the Gamecocks (2-2, 1-1 SEC) face Tennessee (3-1, 0-1) in Knoxville on Saturday (7:30 p.m., SEC Network). The 6-6, 318-pound senior suffered a right shoulder injury during last week's 37-30 win over Mississippi State.
South Carolina's offensive line has lost three players — four-star freshman Markee Anderson, freshman center Ryan Brubaker and Mercer transfer Ni Mansell — to season-ending injuries since the start of preseason practice. Jaylen Nichols, a presumed starting tackle, is also questionable to return this year after suffering a knee injury during the spring game.

Starting tackle Cason Henry has been out since suffering a lower-body injury in Week 1 with no timeline for return, and Beamer said freshman walk-on Chase Sweigart also is not currently practicing due to an injury.
The Gamecocks will also be without star wide receiver Antwane "Juice" Wells for the second week in a row against Tennessee. The preseason All-SEC selection exited with a left foot injury after scoring a touchdown on the opening drive against Georgia, and there is no clear timeline for his return. Sophomore O'Mega Blake will start in Wells' place with freshman Tyshawn Russell as the backup.

If it doesn't happen Tenn is barely making a bowl. Zero excuse not to destroy this team.
If the Vols lose to SC they could easily go 6-6.

eta: I don't think that would happen, but if they lose to SC it, sadly, isn't outside the realm of possibilities.

This is a win win for Beamer. If we curb stomp them, he can elude to their diminished team.

If they beat us, he will say that it was done with a depleted roster!

i saw ND drop 8 into coverage against OSU from about the 17 yard line of ND on 4th and 7 with about 28 seconds left, and thought..."Did Chavis go to ND?". Sure enough, there was a completion to the 2, OSU took its last time out and the rest is history. I just shook my head at the stupidity of that DC. lol

Hogwash! I mean every time we play a team that has or suppose to have beat up players it never matters.

It'll be interesting to see what SC does to compensate for their OL being a mash unit. Even more interesting will be the game plan by Banks to capitalize.
Banks getting excited about getting to 3rd and long so he can rush 3 and drop 8 into a zone that forgets to cover receivers. But you better believe if it’s 3rd and 17 those corners will make sure to tackle the receiver immediately after they catch that 18 yard pass.
