Muschamp to South Carolina

Agreed to what a lot has already been said....You don't hire a defensive guy to rebuild a team that doesn't have any talent...Muschamp was lucky he was at UF and had the state of Florida....the state of SC does not produce the talent and if it does with Dabo at Clemson I don't see Muschamp getting anyone

Not a bad hire. Just not good. Muschamp can recruit very well. At the very least, he will plug the roster with some decent talent for when the next head coach takes over in 3 years or 4 years.

Muschamp was an average recruiter with no big recruiting strategy- just ask UF fans.

He won't get anyone in South Carolina, especially with Dabo picking who he wants and teams like Tennessee plucking other great talents from the area.

Defense maybe. But his offensive players are why Florida is terrible this year on offense. It's extremely hard to build a team defense first in college football

very few highly ranked offensive players are going to want to come play for him at SC heck very few wanted to play for Spurrier at SC

Very few players on either side of the ball. With Clemson being dominate in the State in recent years, the rise of UNC and smaller programs like ECU that can guarantee playing time up front in a G5 conference, it will be a hard sell to any recruit.

Plus the remainder of the SEC and ACC plundering South Carolina's talent with the coaching change, it will be difficult for Muschamp to do much of anything.

My fav post from a Scar fan.

"When the lights come on at closing time you can either go home alone or hook up with the prettiest girl left.*

Muschamp isn't pretty at 12am but looks okay at 3am."

They are taking the fat girl home from the bar lol.

One of the sunshine pumpers from Cockytalk put it best.

You can't spell MUSCHAMP without USC.

Average recruiter...lol...go back and check for yourself. He recruited very well...minus the problems at QB and the transfers at RB I think he built a pretty darn decent team...they were a few pieces away from being a really good team.

A lot of guys can recruit at UF but very few can recruit at SC and I don't think neanderthal man is one of them

SI and ESPN reporting this is a done deal....LOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOLOL

Somehow the entire division downgraded while we stayed the same, feels damn good. Let's OWN the east now!!!

Glad, but REALLY SHOCKED, because with all the coaches they could have gotten that have won at other schools, I much rather them go that route!!!

Spurrier and Holtz couldn't do it because they were old and withered. Muschamp is a good recruiter yall are just selling him short because you hate his face :)

Muschamp pulled a ton of kids from out of state, especially NC and GA. In 4 years he had 38 out of state kids out of 94. That's 40% of his classes.

I think some people on here argue just for the sake of arguing. The worst part is that they completely ignore the fact that South Carolina is not on Florida's level in any category whatsoever. On top of that, he was the coach at Florida during one of the worst periods in our history. What are people going to complain about next season when Butch has his win over Muchamp?

They'll talk about how Muschamp has always been a horrible coach, so the win means nothing.
