If he's playing that loose with the lettering, one could also say that he has 'scamp' in his name. And 'ham'. And 'hump'. And 'scum'.

This has got to be an interim type hire. Sean Elliot must not have been an acceptable choice, and something like "all of our other candidates passed so we just need to get a coach now", was probably said. "We'll work it out later", type of thing.

I guess he thought his staff was so successful at UF that he would bring it to SC minus DJ Durkin who was by far the best coach on his staff. He could win with the talent pool UF recruits from, does he really think that same staff will win with a lesser talent pool at SC?

Muschamp is going to be battling it out with Mason to see which team can score the fewest points over the next few years.

Don't bet on it we barely squeaked out a win against a Shawn Elliott coached USC jr. team at home this year.

That's pretty much my point. USC jr is not a guaranteed win for years to come with or without Muschamp. They played us tough this year and I would expect the same every year.

Disagree. ANY headcoach at Florida beats Tennessee, doesn't matter who. But generally, Muschamp was bad at Florida and couldn't win with many more resources and a much better recruiting base. Just no reason to believe that he'll win at a middling program like SCar. Tis a bright day for Tennessee with news of this hire IMHO.

I gotcha. Yeah, South Carolina is and will continue to be a scrappy team under Muschamp. Still, no excuse to lose to them for the foreseeable future. We have a huge talent advantage now.

Muschamp hired Bobby Bentley today as his RB coach. Bentley was an offensive analyst at Auburn and his son is a top 5 QB for 2017. Boom's playing a little politics.
