Have your ever watched a Dead & Co show, heard the John Mayer Trio, or seen him play solo?
Seriously: one of the great (and creative) guitar players of the era.
I first saw him play in Tampa on the Gasparilla streets. There were probably 50 people watching that kid just wear out the Tele. I told my buddy: "this guy is about to blow up. "I agree that he is a fantastic guitarist. I have seen videos of him playing and they are very impressive. However, his regular stuff just isn't very entertaining.....to me at least. Wish he had used his musicianship more early on.
Other than “good friends” the entire album is like reading Highlights magazine. Pointless. And give me thirty minutes with a retarded monkey and it will be able to play guitar better than Dime ever could. Maybe even better than Zach Wilde.Hard to argue. DD couldn't play a lick, and VDOP wasn't an absolute banger, at all.
Right on. The Guitar World staff named Dime #2 metal guitarist of all time, behind only Iommi. Incidentally, Wylde was #7.Other than “good friends” the entire album is like reading Highlights magazine. Pointless. And give me thirty minutes with a retarded monkey and it will be able to play guitar better than Dime ever could. Maybe even better than Zach Wilde.
I apparently need some lessons from Eric. I've been playing for a lot longer than 30 minutes and this is completely beyond my ability.
Even more disrespectful given that he was senselessly taken from us far too soon.Eric is apparently one of those guys that can’t understand that just because he doesn’t like the style of music, it doesn’t mean it’s talentless. Or maybe he’s just trolling. Or an idiot
Eric probably hasn’t picked up a guitar in his life but wants to claim a legendary guy like dimebag is talentless
One more thing: I know you're obviously an expert, but "Good friends..." is actually on Far Beyond Driven.Other than “good friends” the entire album is like reading Highlights magazine. Pointless. And give me thirty minutes with a retarded monkey and it will be able to play guitar better than Dime ever could. Maybe even better than Zach Wilde.
