My Mock Class For NSD '11

The staff was quoted as saying they were impressed with his production and were bummed he had to sit a year. If you coached against him in HS, things can change you know... Sounds much improved to me according to the quotes from Dooley.

You are entitled to believe their coach talk in that instance. And trust me, I hope its true. I hope he can be productive. But its difficult to make that much improvement on speed and quickness. I just dont think he will be able to get separation in the SEC.

No offense meant, but I don't think that this staff does any coach talk or speak. Dooley has been very direct in praise and criticizing players. He doesn't pull punches. I know that improvements are certainly possible in athletic ability and quickness from HS to college. I guess we will have to wait and see.

Forgot Bellamy and mystery five star for total of two five stars!

I thought I read somewhere while Bellamy enjoyed his visit to UT he is still 150% Clemson. Hope I'm wrong he could really help us back to a top 25 football program.

I see Gabe Wright on this list. I thought he was heavy Auburn lean. Has something changed?

Well, apparently there is some stuff going on down at Auburn. Not sure what it is. Hopefully somebody writes a piece on it soon or somebody comes out with some info.

I like having the option to put Dallas in at DB as this means D. Williams and Arnett are excelling in the slot.

We need more help on the D side than we do on offense.

We are actually starting to build some quality depth in the secondary & DL.

DE - Smith, Martin, Bohannon
DE - Miller, Williams
DT - Hughes, Couch, Walls, Jackson (DE/DT), Wright (will be a Vol), Jeffrey, Clark, Carson, Saulsberry

CB - Gordon, Lanier, Waggner, Coleman
CB - Teague, Evans, Oliver, Thomas

FS - Jackson, Loften
SS - Brewer, Martin, Randolph

You forgot about Ben Martin on the End as well. That is unless something crazy happened and he can't come back next year and I didn't know.

I knew I was missing someone, thanks for reminding me. I added him. :hi:

With 7 spots left I'd be eccstatic if they could finish up with:

RB - Hayes
TE - Clear
T - Richardson
G - Marcus Jackson
DE - Pagan
LB - Paul
CB - Lanier

I think that is a realistic list as well. Pagan might be the longest shot on that list. I cant think off the top of my head who else they could be making a big move for.

Sign them to the class then send them to like a prep school. I think Kelcy Quarles did that with SC last year.

We can only sign 26 before we have to start greyshirting players. But if we could finish with a class looking like that it would easily be top 10 & I would probably have a heart attack.

Dawson, Rome, Chickallo, and Bellamy are the only long shots I see. We are top 3 with Rome,Shannon is gone and we were #2 with Chickallo before he committed, we are in Dawsons top group and some believe we are in good a position as anyone for him, and Bellamy I really think we could have a shot at if Clemsons staff turns over.

I think we will get Richardson, Clear, Lanier, and Jackson so that only leaves 2 spots assuming Loften qualifies.

We want another DL, a LB, and a RB but don't have the numbers.

Those last 2 spots are truly up for grabs and are not set on filling a specific need. We will take the best players we can get.

I do expect us to pull at least 1 surprise. Dooley is too good in the in-homes not to get someone.

LV if Loften cant get qualified by January to enroll do you think the staff will pass on him?

i seriously doubt loften qualifies at this point. we should drop him becuase he has been this much trouble to get in and he could be that much trouble to keep once on campus.

And we want Devrin Young in this class. He is not going to be a greyshirt and we are not going to tell him to look elsewhere.

He is our starting KR and PR day 1.
