if he was still here we would have gotten the death penalty already. he was a known cheater and a piece of **** with no respect for the history of our program. and that florida game was the most pussy **** ive ever seen playing to not get blown out for recruiting instead of trying to win. **** him and **** usc

This is your hatred for how he left. You cant say that for sure.

All this talk about Kiffin being a cheater, loser, traitor got me thinking about a particular song. Everyone should definately check it out if you have never heard it before. I think this song says it all about Kiffin. It will lighten the mood and put a smile on your face, not to mention its very catchy. Anyways the name of the song is Runaway Lane, click the link below to go listen to it. Enjoy!

Lol. He was playing not to get blown out against UF, but when it comes to Bama, he played it down to the last couple of seconds? Doubt it.

you think we tried to win that game? running the ball over and over shortening the game down 14? we never took a shot to win or did anything to give an indication of trying to win

he helped USC get in trouble and we got a scholarship reduction in the one year he was here...it is pretty clear what kind of recruiter he was

i agree we will have 7 wins this year. and yes kiffin is a good coach, he just lacks anything that resembles a moral compass.

I don't hate Kiffin, I'm just not sad he's gone..especially after traveling to the Chick Fil A game. None of his recruits panned out, he has all the resources in the country at every level and can't get more than 7 wins. The man can't coach. Not at the highest levels at least.

Went to the Ole Miss game in Oxford when Kiffin was here. Got smoked, didn't look like a helluva year from where I was sitting.

Don't remind me of that one. I still have nightmares watching McCluster from my seat taking off against our secondary.

Not a Kiffin fan, am I. But what you did was hunt down a negative to justify your vendetta. Yes, we got smoked in that game. Nonetheless, what LK did with a depleted team, including a pair of 265lb OL (Sutton twins) and so many walkons as starters; a demoralized and ineffective QB, is amazing.

Fulmer really did get fat and lazy with his recruiting. Plus his very unimaginative play calling to the point where even a dufus like me could predict what play he'd call with at least 95% accuracy. This destroyed the program. What Lk managed to pull off under these circumstances including impeding a Florida demolishing derby against our team is very commendable. Break up with your girlfriend who was a great cook, but don't deny she cooked darn well even if she was a conniving baytch otherwise. Hate the guy, but give credit where it's due.

Umm.....why are we talking about a coach 3 years removed from the program just 3 weeks away from kickoff?

Exactly, fade. It seems some of our fans just can't be weaned from either LK's or DD's teats. Because I believe in gender parity, here's two links to show what's probably the problem:

2. Time magazine cover shows mom breast-feeding young*son; Jamie Lynn Grumet practices

Some on here want to claim Kiffin was such a bad coach, but yet this fanbase is in the exact position it was in 2009. We were pumped the hell up, just like in 2009. CBJ will embrace UT more than Kiffin (some say, including myself, he's already neared that point, if not passed it) and we will have a good season. This is a 7-5 team or better. Think about it folks, Kiffin comes in and gets the players, the fanbase and even ESPN pumped. Has one hell of a year his very first year and this is right after Fulmer had already "destroyed the program". This is gonna be a 2009 type year, if not better.

Unbelievable post. Been a long time since I've seen a post as lost as last year's Easter Egg as this one.

Our nine win team won seven games under Kiffin. Kiffin rejected all things Tennessee and wanted to make us USC SouthEast. He, and he alone, cost us the Alabama game that year. He is riding the coattails of his father and Pete Carroll, and it's always shown for a few of the more saavy VN posters.

Butch has been a revelation (and I'm an OG). He's exceeded all off-season expectations. He's embraced Tennessee whole heartedly, and he seems to be a far better evaluator of talent than either Kiffin or Dooley. I expect the Oregon game to be his coming out party on the national stage. Even if Butch leaves after Year One (he won't), he's got far more class, coaching, and character than Layla's husband will ever have.

LameKiffen NEVER embraced UT. He took down pics of UT and put Reggie Bush pics in the UT football complex. He had no concern for UT tradition. How can you say he embraced UT?

Hell of a Year: What a joke! His claim to fame is two losses. One to Florida which could have been worse than the final score. And of course Alabama. TWO LOSSES!!

Remember a mediocre Auburn team beat UT running a HS offense!!! Didn't OleMiss just destroy UT? And I was at the VirginiaTech game and they were just outclassed in that one.

Your memory is very weak.

And he still hasn't proven he is a good coach. He may be but his record doesn't show it.

Someone (daj) I think, did a statistical analysis on coach effect comparing talent and win loss. Dools and kiffin had a negative score whereas butch overachieved. Kiffin was near the bottom. He has never over performed. Sc and ga wins were not that impressive considering our talent relative to theirs at that time. The ole miss and va tech blowouts were consistent with his track record.... Ga and sc were the outliers rather than the other way around IMO
