Why can't we face the fact that we are nothing more than an average team. We are not a tournament team by any stretch of the imagination.

NCAATournament team talent wise, however, NIT team from a coaching perspective. Bruce Pearl would have this team in the Sweet 16 pr better

Didn't we lose by more than 4?

it's more than the final score difference. Those few seconds sent UF into the locker room with confidence and momentum, while we walked off with our heads down. They kept momentum as we came out flat, and we didn't recover again until later in the game, of course that's when CM called a timeout when we cut it to 2 and we didn't get close again.

The timeout just further proves that CM does not have a clue what he is doing. Thats normally what opposing coaches do.

And I thought this was a buzz kill until that time out last night....

58 pts and @ 15 turnovers, most of which while not attacking the basket, isn't entertaining to me

8 (most of 15 would be 8 or more) of the TO's were by Maymon and happened in the paint.

Large crowd, close game against #3 ranked opponent, refs allowed them to play by not calling a bunch of tic tac fouls....somewhat entertaining if you allow it to be.

i think he is exactly right, go into the half at least up 3......that 4 point turnaround ended up beating them

But the manner in which he stated it was not correct. Our team was at the FT line to go up by more than 3 points. He glossed right over that. At some point, the players also have to execute. Give me a break.

By the way, the way Sparty would have it, there would not have been a 4 point turnaround. If Stokes makes the FT's, we go up 5. To say that you don't want a 70% FT shooter at the line up 3 with less than 10 seconds left is simply amazing to me. I understand your position, but I want Stokes at the line.

Did anyone happen to notice that Tennessee held Florida scoreless for 8 possessions with the 1-3-1? Six minutes. Then the first 3 pointer by Florida was hit in transition, not against the zone. Switched to man-to-man and Wilbekin immediately hit the 3 pointer to ice it!

I understand this complaint. But the zone didn't prevent outside shots- they were missing them. The zone did prevent penetration and caused problems inside. It is what it is, but Richardson was in Wilbekin's face on the 3.

It seems like the same thing every night we just fell apart late in the game.

That's because the game gets more intense late in the game and you have to work hard to get a good shot. UF did this and UT settled for long jump shots.

That's old man basketball....just keep backing up and eventually you will be open. That's a lot easier than putting in the work necessary to get a good shot.

After conversations today, CM zapping the momentum of the team, players and fans is even more ridiculous for me. Its a game of momentum swings, and as one person I talked to this morning said, some of Martin's decisions flat out hand momentum to the other team.

After his pre half screw up and timeout after the 3, I think they had a total run of @ 24-9.
