Name this puppy

I had my Sandy for 16 years.

"Sandy" from Lil Orphan Annie's dog. Your Golden was an orphan in need of a loving home and the color fits.

Rusty is a good fit for his color.

How's Sutton doing?

Eh. Last few days he was having 1 or 2 a day. He had one at 6 AM this morning, one at 9:30, and just had one around 3. We took him to the vet and he basically said he is growing really fast and outgrowing his dosages. We just upped him again and apparently added something else in.

We feel terrible for him but he bounces back so fast and is ready to play about 5 minutes after them so it's not like it's having a terrible effect on him. We just wish we could slow them down.

Thank you for asking. How is Behr? When was his last one?

Btw your puppy is so adorable.

Thank you. We love him to death. He is such a sweet, happy boy. We would do anything to take his seizures away. It's really sad when he has a bad one, after it's over he just lays there and kind of whimpers for about 20 seconds. You can tell they really scare him. Hopefully we will get them under control.

I have faith it will get better for Sutton. It took about 5 weeks each time for the meds to "level" out and show signs of improvement for Behr. Hang in there!

His last one was 30 days tomorrow.

He wishes Sutton a Merry Christmas.

Haha Sutton would return the greetings but he's not quite sure what Christmas is yet. Tell Behr we said thank you though.

So we're going on 3 days without a seizure now. Doesn't seem like much but this is the longest he's been without one since they started. We upped his dosage of phenobarb again and have him on something else now.

I don't want to jinx it but we're pretty excited about it. Obviously they're not permanently healed (they never will be according to the vets) but even if we got him down to one or 2 a week that is far more manageable that 2-3 a day.

Anyways, just wanted to drop in and tell you things are going well.

I am truly sorry to hear that. I'm sure it still weighs on you. I am one of those prideful men that refuses to cry, but I balled over the loss of our sweet golden Max a while back. He was everything to my wife and I. She raised him since she was 10. We lost him to lymphoma earlier this year.

I've never seen a boy who was just so happy to be alive. And he loved his mommy. He brought the rings down the aisle at our wedding and he was there with the ring tied around his neck when I surprised her and proposed to her.

This is a picture of my wife sleeping with him the night before we lost him. She never left his side. The next day he couldn't even stand. Now he gets to run in the fields and play in Heaven. I don't know if we'll ever fully recover from losing him. But getting a couple of new dogs has helped the healing process go into motion at least.

Great. A grown man just got teer'ed up @ 2:30 in tha morn over a dog he never knew.. Son of ah

Yeah well, if Dogs don't go to heaven....when I die I want to go where they go.

Good to hear Sutton is doing better. I wish him well.
