This is going to be a legally slippery slope for NASCAR so they are saying that people can't have something attached to their own property (car, truck, motorhome etc.) while on NASCAR property?
So will they try and remove people who have a Confederate flag bumper sticker/decals, window shade sceen (or what ever it's called). What about a state issued Sons of Confederate Veterans license plate?
One other thing someone brought up is that a lot of these campgrounds surrounding tracks are not owned by NASCAR.
So people could still be flying it just off NASCAR property.
And it looked like they were trying to gain their Southern base back. Moving the Championship awards to Nashville announcing a race in Nashville next season and trying to get racing back at the Nashville fairgrounds a historic NASCAR short trackIts a look at me move. Nascar is struggling and I dont think it lasts much longer
I respect your opinion but also doubt in the 67 years you were in this type of spot. Business people will choose the register. Mine does. Don’t blame them.Yes. I was brought up in the business to treat all customers equally, and to take them barbershop style, i.e. next man up. The family business lasted 67 years until all the family was gone but me, and I retired. We must have done something right as we had plenty of competition.
This will be interesting for sure. My best guess is around property they cant do anything, but on property and in the infield they can ask you to remove it.This is going to be a legally slippery slope for NASCAR so they are saying that people can't have something attached to their own property (car, truck, motorhome etc.) while on NASCAR property?

It isn't a legally slippery slope at all. The private property has to agree to allow NASCAR to host their events there. They have to adhere to their rules to do so.This is going to be a legally slippery slope for NASCAR so they are saying that people can't have something attached to their own property (car, truck, motorhome etc.) while on NASCAR property?

Paint the side of your motorhome! This will be interesting for sure. My best guess is around property they cant do anything, but on property and in the infield they can ask you to remove it.
Sort of related but a local high school where I live was nicknamed the Rebels and a lot of the students flew the flag. At one point they banned the flag a lot of students left them on their cars, but if they tried to take them in the stadium they were confiscated. Nascar could do something similar
It's a shame that the fans who have supported them for all these years are being told to go **** themselves. This move is nothing more then nascar protecting their most important income stream. That’s tv network contracts . And all major sports are about to make concessions. It is what it is. They see the tide turning even if you don’t.
I can see that point of view. But I would say do those people like it bc of flags or bc of the racing? They will take a hit. But I think it willIt's a shame that the fans who have supported them for all these years are being told to go **** themselves.
I have given up several of them. About the only thing I watch sportswise any more is U.T. football/some basketball, Indy 500, and about 5 golf tournaments a year(4 majors and Players Championship). That is about 25-30 events a year. I can live without them. There have been no sports on for some time, and I'm still alive.I can see that point of view. Rebound. People tend to choose their pleasures
Over their principals. And just to give everyone a heads up, if you
have a big problem with this, then you better be willing to
Give up all sports. Protesting will be a thing by athletes
We all are still alive. And I can tell you now collegiate protesting in some form will happen next year. Might be a patch. Might be a pregame kneel down. But it’s coming. What will be funny is the people who complain about flag kneeling will take Issue with whatever they decide to doI have given up several of them. If it gets to the point that it pisses me off, I will quit watching what little bit I watch now. I quit NASCAR several years ago, when the good old boy drivers left. I quit the Bosox (only baseball games I watched) when many players refused White House visit). I quit NBA about 40 years ago because it's boring. I wouldn't watch soccer if you paid me.We all are still alive. And I can tell you now collegiate protesting in some form will happen next year. Might be a patch. Might be a pregame kneel down. Im with you. No more Titans after the NFL's reactions. No Braves this summer. I hate the NBA and probably going to stop watching Nascar after listening to them suck Bubba again this week.If it gets to the point that it pisses me off, I will quit watching what little bit I watch now. The thing that I don't like is people and businesses that cave to the mob. Hobby Lobby and Chip and Joanna Gaines didn't and they are still around.
I quit the NFL when they started this crap a few years ago. I don't want to be subjected to whining, overpaid crybabies. Let them get a real job like the rest of us. Shut up and dribble for God's sake. They are just puppets sent out there to entertain.Im with you. No more Titans after the NFL's reactions. No Braves this summer. I'll still watch MMA for the time being. In the last post fight press conference a reporter tried to bait him with a question about the UFC putting out a question and he refused to answer. Also with him actually trying to open up and have fights during Covid but Disney wouldn't let him I have a lot of respect for him. So far theres been one fighter that did a protest during introductions we shall see if that changes.I quit the NFL when they started this crap a few years ago. No one is forcing you to watch sports. You can go read a book. Protesting is not whining, its drawing attention to an issue that needs to be addressed. Protesting is as American as apple pie. You anti American?I quit the NFL when they started this crap a few years ago. I don't want to be subjected to whining, overpaid crybabies. Let them get a real job like the rest of us. I don't fly a Confederate flag, but I view it as a symbol of pride in a rural Southern way of life, a symbol of fierce independence, a symbol of defiance, a symbol being the underdog fighting against overwhelming odds, maybe a little like Don Quixote. It's like you may be able to make me sit down on the outside, but I'm still standing on the inside. The North may have won the war, but look at me, I'm still a Southerner.I honestly don't care about this, I just question if trying to force people to change is really a valid way to make them actually change? If you believe a Confederate flag marks a person as racist, do you change them by denying them their Confederate flag? If you take a tiger's stripes, he's still a tiger.
I'm not watching much in the way of sports anymore. It's a crying shame that an issue has to be addressed at an entertainment venue. I can take one look at the guys protesting and tell how oppressed they are. I don't need them to tell me. They can always take out their frustrations on their women. Isn't that what the football players do? Whip they women? No one is forcing you to watch sports. You can go read a book.
