Nashville Restaurants

The Pharmacy is terribly overrated and the hipster vibe will leave you feeling like you need a shower. IMO it doesn't hold a candle to Gabby's or Burger Republic. I moved away from Hendersonville before I got a chance to try Jumbo and Delicious. I'm not too far away so i hope to try it soon.

Jumbo and Delicious is fantastic

Meh. Been to both Watermark (it was great years ago, nothing special now) and Kayne and would still take Rolf & Daughters, Le Sel, or 5th & Taylor over both.

Here's my favorite in no particular order:

Wendell Smith's Restaurant @ Charlotte Ave & Morrow Rd
Cal's Country Kitchen in Madison
Swett's off of 28th Ave N
International Market on Belmont Blvd

Any of these 4 could probably claim best food AND best value..Very reasonably priced

Benji Cook who owns Wendell Smith's is an awesome guy. To make it better he's a huge Vols fan and went to school at UTK.

Las Americas Taqueria and Pupuseria - 4715 Nolensville Pike

The pupusas are so freaking good. The restaurant is a 4.4 on Google.

I used to go to Nollensville Rd. for Mexican at a place called Las Chivas that was located in an old Pizza Hut building. It straddled between authentic Mexican and TexMex. Nowadays, I generally go to Cinco in Brentwood or Pueblo Real in Franklin (both TexMex). For a good papusa, Chago's on Belmont is nice.

Big fan of Oscars Taco Shop when I want Mexican. After living in San Diego I really missed the So Cal style of Mexican food. Their carne asada is on point.
