Meh.... Obvious made up story on my part.

Clue 1. No vandy fans exist outside of three block radius of the school.

Clue 2. Do they have actual logo/slogan merchandising? I mean outside of book covers obviously.

Were both of your hands on his shoulders at the time?

Never mind, I don't want to know.

Careful. Plenty of trolls on here ready to question your thoughts. What a weak fan base.

Agreed...like the ones who are so weak they flip out over an extremely minor thing, that affects them in no way shape or form...an event which they weren't even there for, and the parent of the child isn't even angry about.....you mean that weak?

Aren't you in another thread talking about how great Jesus is, then in here calling people trolls and telling them they were molested.

So it was role play? Meh, don't really want to know. Not my scene, but I'm not the judging kind. Of course next thing you know, you'll be posting about how you stuffed the turkey.

It's all true, UT Hill Man. However, I don't think anything malicious was meant by it. I don't have a problem with what the teacher did. I was just mentioning the story to show how proud I am of my son already becoming a devoted Vols fan.

I agree...don't think what the teacher did was a big deal.

I'm sorry he was upset, but it is awesome that he didn't want anybody thinking he was a Vandy fan. I think I would have put my kid in a UT hoodie for the rest of the week.

I guess I am the only honest person here on volnation.....I'm a teacher and what this guy did was harmless....its good that your son loves UT, but kids like that have to learn the hard way how go grow a thicker skin....or life is going to be rough...I see all types of kids and personalities while teaching, and the ones with thick skins that earlier on really impress me a lot and seem to be naturally successful people...not saying your son won't but its..not like the teacher called an overweight kid a pig or something....

Thundarr,

I’m a teacher too, and you are so full of crap. Kids respond to teachers who build personal relationships with them. The teacher was being engaging. The kid just took it wrong. Kids do that. It was a valuable learning experience for the child, a teachable moment. The parent handled it perfectly. You need to come down off your high horse. Not every kid is grade motivated, yet you can still get a lot out of these kids if you can show them you care about them and that you're not just some robot consumed with test scores.

Read this article, and please don't have any kids of your own for all our sakes.
