National Average Price of Gasoline Hits an All-Time High

It’s a terrible price point since you can have a whole house generator installed for 10k and it will run as long as the NG keeps flowing. Plus it should work for decades with proper maintenance when a person will be lucky to get 6-8 years out of those batteries.

Isn't natural gas highly flammable?

Right after hurricane (can’t remember name) hit LA that fall fuel prices jumped to $4-5 a gallon for a month or so and that triggered the housing bubble.

Housing bubble was already popped by then. The banks had already been revaluing the housing derivative instruments since Q3-Q4 2007. But yes, Ike didn't help.

You will not get 300 miles towing or carrying any cargo to speak of

Probably right. I know one thing, Ford will screw it up somehow. I've seen too many of their firsts in models, engines, etc. that are not ready for prime time. No telling what kinds of problems that thing will have.

Gouging isn't the issue. The issue is the price of oil and the reduction in refining capacity. A big driver in the reduction of refining capacity is the Biden Administration killing expansion projects (such as the Byhalia pipeline in Memphis) and other similar projects in TX and LA.

As long as the Ds have political theater, stunts, and PR gimmicks to assuage the ignorant masses, then it's all good bro.

Now that blame has been directed....what to do Joe? Ohhhh...the dichotomy of being a CC advocate vs the suffering and political consequence.

I don't buy the refining capacity argument. Not a single gas station is running out of gas. If it were a capacity issue we would be seeing supply issues.

Just noticed that Biden is releasing one million barrels of oil a day thru the month of June. Anyone have any idea how much the Federal Government is charging for that oil?

I think it‘s sold in the commodity market like everything else so whatever a barrel is going for.

Ah yes, i forgot about that one. Remember the name, but I could have never told you where it made landfall.
Ike is the one that knocked out power in my neighborhood, an hour north of Houston, which took nearly a week to be restored.
