McRib is in our most fuel efficient vehicle and is subsidizing her business travel between the two hospitals she works in. The "DC" in Washington, DC must stand for "Doesn't Comprehend".We've had that same question at work, we have employees who want to know if we're changing the reimbursement rate. Basically what they've been told is rent a car instead, which doesn't really work for employees in very rural areas that have to drive a long way to get anywhere.

I can't believe the sheep that try and move blame away from Biden for the high prices. This is exactly what he and his administration wants. They campaigned on it. Every move he's made are moves he promoted. The ones that don't think Biden shares blame for this underestimated what his policies were going to do to prices.
I never meant to imply that this was all Biden's fault. My point was the destruction of the oil industry was his/their goal. They ran on it, they accepted applause for it in their debates. Anyone that is naive enough to not see the ramifications of that policy deserves what they get. Unfortunately we all suffer for their ignorance. The rise in fuel prices isn't completely Biden's fault, the most fault lies with the governors and foreign heads of state that shuttered their economies in 2020-2021. Remember when the price per barrel went into the negative because we were out of storage? The people in charge then should have seen what would come of that and adjusted the rules and regulations accordingly.
In most areas of the country when an oil company shuts off a well they have to cap it permanently. They just can't turn it off and when demand rises turn it back on, it's an expensive proposition to open a closed well so why would they in this political environment? Also why would the refiners invest in expanded capacity, that is another expensive and time consuming proposition.

Biden's blame starts where instead of trying to soften the blow, he throws gasoline on it. To be honest I think privately they love it. Their radical base loves it. AOC loves it. I've had several conversations with people that think this will solve our greenhouse gas problems because it will push people to electric vehicles. When I tell them that we generate most of our electricity with fossil fuels they either don't want to hear it or don't care. I don't think this is going to end the way they want.
