NBA Championship: Mavs vs. Heat (merged)

Wade in Eastern Finals:
18.8 ppg, 6.4 rpg, 2.2 apg, 4 topg, .498 TS%

Lebron in Finals:
17.8 ppg, 7.2 rpg, 6.8 apg, 4 topg, .541 TS%

Lebron scored 9 ppg less in the finals than the regular season. That's the worst ever, you have to admit he choked.

You know as well as I do that nbaker is not impressed with your stats.

How'd you know? +/- is a very poor indicator of player value. Lebron and Wade played about the same (Wade shot poorly and scored less, but outrebounded Lebron) and Wade's +/- was +3. You're +/- is determined by you and those you play with. All this means is that Lebron put in a lot more minutes with the reserves.

LeBron was a beast against the Bulls, no doubt.

If only he'd predicted 8 Eastern Conference Championships instead of 8 NBA titles...maybe we wouldn't be busting his balls for being outplayed by a Puerto Rican midget on his home floor in the deciding game of the NBA finals.

But JJ Barea was -7 for the game. :) Barea was off the hook, and I'm wondering where his career goes from here.

Lebron is definitely deserving of criticism. The worst stat of all is 20 total FT's. He didn't try to get to the hoop when his team needed buckets. He deferred to passing and team play when he should have been a little more selfish. I really like that he passes and doesn't care about being the leading scorer, but he needed a better balance.

We are 1,359 posts in and we are still stuck at the same point.

I think we could go to 5,000 posts and it will still be the same thoughts.

Yep, you two will still refuse to believe that lebron choked.

That's cause he said today that he will test the open market of free agency.

Yeah he also said

"There's no other place I'd rather be besides Orlando," Howard told NBA.com. "As of right now, that's my home. I just want to stay in Orlando as long as I can.

"That's the truth. I don't have to keep things calm or anything. This is how I really feel in my heart. A lot of people want to see me go other places, but I want to stay in Orlando. I have a beautiful home there. There are beautiful people down there. My son is in Orlando. He's getting a lot older and I want to be there to see as many moments as I can of his life."

One NBA guy said... "Trade LeBron for Dwight Howard. Now."

It would be a cold, cold move... but it makes ya think.

It's probably a pretty good move for both parties. I think Lebron is better than Dwight, but Howard's position might make him of greater value to the Heat.
